I came across an articale about this new device which was shown in CES this year. http://www.engadget.com/2013/01/12/the-rk3066-android-4-1-mini-pc-hands-on/ For people without a smart TV, this UBS stick size device can turn your TV with HDMI input into an "Android Tablet'. I don't have a smart TV, but I can imagine this gadget would make your TV even smarter than a smart TV. For control, you won't be able to do touch screen, you will need a wireless mouse and possibly a keyboard too. Since it has built in wifi, it should be able to stream Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Pandora etc from the internet just like an Android phone and tablet. I am sure you can play your own audio and video collections through your home network too. |
