In Response to Westie Skin Problems?: Just saw on tv today on dr oz when your dog gets hot spots and they are not yet oozy put apple cider vinger in a spray bottle and spay on a couple times a day if it is oozey then dilute with half water ...hope this helps sandi My 4 yr old Westie is losing his hair on his legs and feet. I took him to the vet where he received two steroid shots but they are not helping. Does anyone have any luck treating this condition? I just read about a dip that I am going to try. I have even tried Mayonaise on his raw skin. I am grasping for straws at this point. I think that mits from the yard get into their skin and if not treated properly it just continues to get worse. This is an old breed of dog. You would think that someone knows what to do to help these poor little guys? Anyone out there? Posted by cowgirldust |
