My 4 yr old Westie is losing his hair on his legs and feet. I took him to the vet where he received two steroid shots but they are not helping. Does anyone have any luck treating this condition? I just read about a dip that I am going to try. I have even tried Mayonaise on his raw skin. I am grasping for straws at this point. I think that mits from the yard get into their skin and if not treated properly it just continues to get worse. This is an old breed of dog. You would think that someone knows what to do to help these poor little guys? Anyone out there?

Well I found out that the stray pup the kids brought home from the rodeo had a mange mite and gave it to my Westie who already suffers from alergies. This made it worse so today I followed the vets instructions and dipped them in a sulfur solution. Stink it did! I pray this will cure my poor little Westie and the pup for sure.
