I am finding now that I have both a mental and physical disablility that no one seems to want to take a closer look at me.  I am not terminal, I just have some challenges after a near fatal car wreck and no one seems to think I am worth the time to know better.  Is there a place that I could go where there is so much prejudice?

that's the way a lot of women feel when they were just average women.  Did you give that any thought before the accident?

Hi Dande,

You don't say what your challenges are which makes it somewhat challenging (if you will) to respond adequately; however, your statement "no one seems to think I am worth the time to know better" saddens me and I could only respond with encouragement for you to know that you are worth the time and offer encouragement that you keep the faith and patience.  I know there are women out there who would not reject a man based on disability alone.  I know because I'm one of them.  Beautiful people have challenges, various types of challenges, the obvious and the not so obvious that do not stop them from being warm, caring fun people.  That's for sure.

I see disabled people frequently at the American Legion, since our vets are there. They are a part of the group, and accepted and we all know them well. Do you belong to any local clubs, where people can getto know you and you can have some fun?

i have a serious illness and use oxygen so I understand exactly how you feel.  I am 58 and feel certain I will never have another relationship.  I joined a few dating sites but can't even get a response.  Pretty bad.  I can still go places--just can't climb any mountains.  lol
