My mother is 64 and she is starting to have trouble taking care of herself.  She keeps forgetting her doctors’ names and when she last saw them.  Worse, she laughs about inadvertently taking her AM pills instead of her PM pills or vice versa, or accidentally putting pills in the wrong section.  She has bipolar disorder and was seeing a therapist regularly until she moved about 7 years ago, but hasn’t found a new one since.  She insists that she is going to get help, but she doesn’t.  I feel like I need to force her to get help, but I don’t know how.  Any advice?
