In Response to How many folks have a relative who’s recently fallen ill and now have multiple doctors and providers? Any one having a hard time keeping track of all the care going on?”: new to the forum and wondering. How many folks have ever had a relative who’s fall ill and get care from multiple doctors and providers? Any one having a hard time keeping track of all the care going on? Posted by RManchanda1 When my mother was seeing 7 or more docs, my brother and I were having a hard time keeping up with her appts., meds, etc. Her home health care nurse's elderly grandmother was living with him, and he suggested that we transfer all our mother's care to her primary care physician. He said this is what he did, and it was much easier to keep track that way and he didn't see that her care had suffered because of it. The only specialists she needed in the end were for macular degeneration and bladder cancer. I don't know if this would work in your relative's case, but hopefully this will help. Good luck. |
