In Response to Anyone else remember that the USPS had a surplus a few years ago: Any Hawks remember that the USPS had a surplus a few years ago? I think they are cooking the books, and were admonished for exposing that info back then , because ever since then I have heard nothing but claims that they are losing money. Posted by ema4la ema41a...regarding the financial woes of the USPS, past and current, you might want to look up an article by Jim Hightower some time back on this very issue.....I won't paraphrase this stuff, you can access that information on the website highttowerlowdown.org. Hightower comes with a partisan viewpoint for sure...........still, I haven't caught him pushing false or misleading data.....as the radical right think tanks do. According to his data, The USPS financial woes result from Republican Party sponsored congressional action. See what you think. |
