In Response to Re: WE WON !!!: Do you really think American people can ever win? We allowed the system to take away some of our rights fought for in the Independence war (trial, lawyer when you are arested- more than that: Americans can be assassinated by "our" government). see NDAA signed by Obama and would be signed by Romney. we pay for military bases in more than 130 countries and we pay for killing people by "our" government (drones are favorite Obama toy- Romney would use more of them). i hate to be a wet blanket but Ican't shake the feeling that we are losing the usa as we know it (NOT because Obama won but because it is a meaningless "race" and most people think it isn't. Posted by Astra2012 Astra2012, you got that right. We may have sidestepped a bad hit from Romney, but we haven't gained our rights back. And, the past two years, are a good indication of the next two years. |

In Response to Re: WE WON !!!: i think political parties should be outlawed and people should vote for the person.Strenght is in unity. Now it's like a see-saw of 2 main parties...and WE are always losing. Posted by Astra2012 I seem to recall our founding fathers warning us not to fall to a two party system. |

In Response to Re: WE WON !!!: [QUOTE] I agree that the American people are starting to wake-up thanks to politicians, such as Bernie Sanders, who ceaselessly speak out for the Middle Class and working poor. For too long, the wealthiest have been receiving tax cuts and loopholes while they've outsourced their jobs and offshored their money in foreign banks. They've manipulated the markets, got us into 2 very long and costly wars, caused a real estate bubble and then a market crash that necessiated huge bailouts. People are beginning to wonder why we're in such dire straits as things were pretty good under Clinton, who left a surplus, but deteriorated under Bush. As they're making less wages and going without health insurance, they see CEOs making enormous bonuses. Here in Chicago, the home of Twinkies, the factory workers are protesting. They've agreed to wage cuts and less benefits, but the CEO just rewarded himself with a 300% bonus. I talked with a woman who is 63, but she pays $600 a month for health insurance with a $5,000 deductible. A caller on a radio program said that he's eligible for Medicare, but is still working and paying for health insurance for himself and his wife, who is 62 in the amount of $284 a week. With this amount of money being spent, is there any reason why only a few can save for retirement?

President Obama has been trying to take the keys to the White House away from the Corporate Billionaires, but the Right Wing Republicans in Congress keep fighting him. In Response to WE WON !!!: (JUST SUBSTITUTE HL HUNT FOR THE KOCH BROTHERS, DONALD TRUMP , ADELSON AND ROMNEY's NAME----and add Medicare---Medicaid---and social benefits) President of the United States of America, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid. Won what you say?? The President got us out of one war that Bush started which cost us lives and money. And will get us out of the other war Bush started. He liquidated Osama Bin Laden Govt. spending is the lowest it has been in decades Unemployment is getting steadily lower He has fought for affordable health care for All Americans He is as honest as a politician can get He is fighting to keep SSI and Medicare for seniors Yes he used money to bail out American companies the same as Mitt would have done, not build hospitals and schools and prisons in the land of our enemies as Bush did. You can fabricate stories about what he has done wrong but can't back it up with real fact. The only thing he has done wrong in my view is trying to compromise with Republicans that don't want to compromise. Better study history better than listening to Rush, Beck and FOX news. Response to Re: WE WON !!! : Posted by mandm84 I believe the President had a whole lot of corporate representation (CEO's) all in the Whitehouse the last few days discussing the economy and the financial condition of our country. He has to listen because so much of our economy (jobs) is in their respective hands - |

The Greed of many of our CEO's in the past 25 years has been sickening and in my opinion greatly responsible for our weakened economy, but Communist China appreciates it.Response to Re: WE WON !!!: In Response to Re: WE WON !!! : I agree that the American people are starting to wake-up thanks to politicians, such as Bernie Sanders, who ceaselessly speak out for the Middle Class and working poor. Maybe the President can plead with the CEO's to stop their greed and bring our jobs back home, like in 1980 when most of our jobs were home, but then again the average CEO only made 40 times as much as the average blue collar worker back in 1980 , but today our CEO's make 350 times as much as our average blue collar worker. Thanks to outsourcing our jobs to Communist China, our CEO's are living much better and isn't that all that really matters to most of them.Response to Re: WE WON !!!: In Response to Re: WE WON !!! : I believe the President had a whole lot of corporate representation (CEO's) all in the Whitehouse the last few days discussing the economy and the financial condition of our country.
