FDR is cheering with us. Response to WE WON !!!: (JUST SUBSTITUTE HL HUNT FOR THE KOCH BROTHERS, DONALD TRUMP , ADELSON AND ROMNEY's NAME----and add Medicare---Medicaid---and social benefits) President of the United States of America, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid. There is much to be done, I agree, But I feel much better today after the election and more optimistic than I did yesterday. I feel a weight has been lifted off me and there is hope. This whole country is transforming and some don't want that change, the young are taking an active role which showed in this election. Minorities cannot be stepped on and ignored. They showed a maturity which some seniors didn't who still cling to old ways and refuse change. They showed the rich and elite class cannot buy elections. Although there is a lot to be done, I think the message from the people is clear. In Response to Re: WE WON !!!: Do you really think American people can ever win? We allowed the system to take away some of our rights fought for in the Independence war (trial, lawyer when you are arested- more than that: Americans can be assassinated by "our" government). see NDAA signed by Obama and would be signed by Romney. we pay for military bases in more than 130 countries and we pay for killing people by "our" government (drones are favorite Obama toy- Romney would use more of them). i hate to be a wet blanket but Ican't shake the feeling that we are losing the usa as we know it (NOT because Obama won but because it is a meaningless "race" and most people think it isn't. In Response to Re: WE WON !!!: [QUOTE]In response to "Re: WE WON !!!": Wonder why there isn't more dialog about this act. Per Wikipedia: The most controversial provisions to receive wide attention were contained in Title X, Subtitle D, entitled "Counter-Terrorism." In particular, sub-sections 1021 and 1022, which deal with detention of persons the government suspects of involvement in terrorism. The controversy was to their legal meaning and potential implications for abuse of Presidential authority. Although the White House[12] and Senate sponsors[13] maintain that the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) already grants presidential authority for indefinite detention, the Act states that Congress "affirms" this authority and makes specific provisions as to the exercise of that authority.[14][15] The detention provisions of the Act have received critical attention by, among others, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Bill of Rights Defense Committee, and some media sources which are concerned about the scope of the President's authority, including contentions that those whom they claim may be held indefinitely could include U.S. citizens arrested on American soil, including arrests by members of the Armed Forces.[16][17][18][19][20] The detention powers currently face legal challenge. Contents [hide] Romney and Obama didn't debate NDAA, Patriot Act, bank bail-outs, Federal Reserve and our monetary policy because they agree on all of these issues! Mainstream media apparently haven't been allowed to discuss any legislation leading to turn us into a police state --they do not even question humilitating TSA practices as doing so might be called unpatriotic by someone. but AMERICAN PEOPLE talk about it--and that's what counts most! We demand that OUR representatives (whom WE pay) really represent our interests, or else... |

If Romney had won it would have been suspicious. He and RNC cheated many many Republicans in Tampa and they would have NEVER voted for him. like in Florida- which usually went to Rep. but not this time. |

No, we won the election, because in a democracy, we all matter, rich and poor, weak and strong. Response to Re: WE WON !!!: You won the election!
