Voters say they’re worse off after four years of Obama, so why is Romney struggling?

.By Chris Moody, Yahoo! News   9/19/2012

In the twilight of President Barack Obama's first term, many polls, including a new Quinnipiac University tri-state survey of likely voters, show that most Americans say they are not better off than they were four years ago. But in those same polls, the president retains his edge over challenger Mitt Romney.

That's not normal, says Quinnipiac University pollster Peter A. Brown.

"Most times if voters think things haven't gone well, they say, 'Let's think of somebody else.' But at this point they're not saying that," Brown said. "Clearly they think [Obama] is more in tune with their lives."

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/voters-worse-off-four-years-obama-why-romney-154912983--election.html

Why? Because the US is controlled by the Feds. They control the media and election machine. They select the politicians to control the government. That's why even Clinton did a good job in his last term, Bush won the election. What the Feds needed was not a good economy, they need war and the Patriot Act. Several month after his election, 911 happened which satisfied what the Feds needed.

This time, Obama will give the Feds something Romney can't give. So you saw Romney is under the fire of media despite the life of Americans is worse off after four years reign of Obama.

i'm not sure which one of 2 tops will be our president. All i know is that nothing will change SIGNIFICANTLY for American people.
Government will stay big, we will send our troops all over the world bombing here and there, until our debt reaches 20T which will happen during next administration. Then our government will have to collapse together with our currency.

if Obama wins it might be faster. However if Romney wins we might face WW3 if he attacks Iran or Syria

i think i'll go for a walk now.

Some people have been worse off since Bush and republicans had control for EIGHT YEARS.     The only bright thing has been OBAMACARE and the fact they won't die earlier cause they can't afford healthcare.

Yes the housing market did damage.    But there is no denying that automation-technology have taken away jobs forever and sending jobs overseas didn't help.

500K manufacturing jobs under Obama is better than 2.7 million manufacturing jobs lost under Bush.  That's true.   Anytime someone in our government mentions anything about birth control or abortion, every religious looney in the country comes unglued. Just wait til we have 15 or 20 percent unemployed, and either we are paying more for unemployment/welfare benefits than anything else....or these millions of unemployed are living in squalid plywood shacks, and begging for food. Perhaps then, it will dawn on people that this planet, and the global economies, cannot support a doubling of the human population

But over-population needs to have it's own thread.....it deserves more discussion than it gets.

I haven't agreed with all that Obama has done or failed to do, but his administration is a vast improvement over that of Bush. When we were in the twilight days of the Bush administration, the final assault was the financial collapse that was the final blow for most people. Under Bush, we saw massive tax cuts, 2 wars, jobs being outsourced in record numbers, a real estate bubble and then a market crash. Americans, weary of war and a poor economy, heard McCain and stupid Palin promoting the wars while saying that the economy was strong.

Things have been slow to recover, but most have been because of the Repubs dragging their heels so as to make Obama look bad. Jobs are going to be lower wage ones until we stop the tax cuts and benefits for corporations that move overseas. I've noticed that construction and home improvement is on the rise here in Chicago.

Health care is going to be a major problem as I believe that a single-payer system is the only answer. However, Obama is more concerned about mainstream America while Romney is the poster boy for the wealthy. I think Romney's statement about the 47% of Americans who are irresponsible because of their present struggles will haunt him. Of course, there are those who are totally irresponsible and who drain our resources. However, most of that 47% are truly victims of a Bush administration where these hard-working responsible people started to lose everything under Bush,

Don't try spinning the numbers. The oveall employment rate is the lowest its been since 1971, even though 10's of millions of people were added to the population. Most small companies will not hire, because of obamacare and over-regulation. The actual unemployment rate, when considering employees that are underemployed is over 15%. We are paying 100% more for gas and heating oil than when obama came in.Middle class income has declined. Meanwhile instead of acting preidential (acting is the only thing he is capable of) Mr. Hollywood is making the late night TV and talk show circuit. Of course that's not when he is campaigning. John Kerry, a fellow democrat has called for an investigation of the lies perpretrated by obama about the re-emergence of Al Qaeda in the Libyan consulkate attack. The leftist press gives him a free ride.

Most Americans say U.S. on wrong track: poll

By Steve Holland

WASHINGTON | Wed Aug 10, 2011 4:21pm EDT

(Reuters) - Economic fears are weighing heavily on Americans, with a large majority saying the United States is on the wrong track and nearly half believing the worst is yet to come, a Reuters/Ipsos poll said on Wednesday.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll found 73 percent of Americans believe the United States is "off on the wrong track," and just one in five, 21 percent, think the country is headed in the right direction.

If most people believe US is on wrong tracks, why do they still support Obama. That's Obama's track. But when the Feds need Obama, they would manipulate the media to convince people Obama will win, no matter how senseless it is.
