Republican Speaker Boehner and approx. 20% of other Republicans in Congress are refusing to compromise in order to stop any Tax increase on the wealthiest top 1% of our Nation.
We have the debt of 2 Wars, lost Tax Revenue from the Bush Tax Breaks for 12 years and the Republican leadership wants our struggling seniors, disabled, Veterans and poor children to pay for it with cuts in their benefits.
The same Republicans , who sent our brave soldiers into Iraq and Afghanistan risking their lives, have the nerve to  propose cutting  Veteran's benefits, instead of asking our wealthy to pay any increase n Taxes.
The most sickening aspect of this whole far Right Wing Republican Agenda  is that many of the wealthiest Americans profited financially  from the blood, sweat and tears of our brave  Veterans in both Wars.

This is true as we are mainly paying off the mess that Bush and Cheney created for 8 years with tax cuts, wars, a real estate crisis and a massive bailout for the banks. I don't understand why people aren't more vocal about this, but most don't really understand or care. The Repubs continue to profit off the wars as their privatization continues on in foreign countries to the tune of billions and billions of $$$ a year. We're spending 2 billion $$$ a week in Afghanistan while still losing soldiers, but this is never mentioned. How many of these veterans who have died or have been injured have families that depend on the so-called "entitlements"?

It's nothing more than the ideology of greed that keeps them pandering to the wealthiest. They've had 12 years of tax cuts to create businesses as it would "trickle down" to the workers, but it only "trickled down" to paying workers 50 cents an hour in China and themselves millions of $$$ in salaries and bonuses. The wealthy, such as Romney, don't create jobs here, but profit nicely with loopholes that allow them to stash their money away in foreign banks without investing it here.
