Jan, You are absolutely rignt. Women have the freedom in this country to have a choice rather than being discriminated against. As for as abortions are concerned many women will get one either lawfully or unlawfully, in a hospital or with a clothes hanger. I as a man am not to judge. In Response to THANK YOU OBAMA: On Friday, President Obama did the right thing for women by rejecting the demands of anti-woman activists to limit access to no-cost birth control. Extremists who literally oppose any woman having access to contraceptives had lobbied President Obama hard to overturn new health insurance regulations and block access to birth control for millions of women. If President Obama had caved to the demands of these radical activists, certain employers like religiously affiliated universities and hospitals would have been allowed to prevent their female employees and students from having access to the same health care as every other woman in America. Fortunately, President Obama sided with the medical community and women's health advocates over these anti-woman extremists. Fortunately President Obama sided with men who also benefit from women's birth control indirectly. Fortunately President Obama sided against over-population....we don't have enough jobs now for college grads who hocked their future finances for a career. Posted by JANMB |

Guess we should drop laws against theft since someone might hurt them. Using a justification for removing laws since they may harm the person breaking them would lead us to drop all laws. Apparently a person cannot act as a judge unless they are the same as the other person. Only female judges may judge women, and male judges males. We must also limit this to a person's race, religion, ethnicity and age. Seems you have made a situtation where having laws are worthless since we cannot match the judge with the person judged. And even if this were not the case would we need to check the sex of the child before we make the decision so a male can speak for male and the mother for the female, or may nobody defend the defenseless. These arguments trying to justify abortion are not logical and lead us to absurdities regarding laws. The constitution does not speak about abortion, and the Roe versus Wade decision was the Supreme Court acting legislatively by writing a law about abortion using the right to privacy as their justication for this legislation. From our constitution it does seem to protect our posterity, all descendents.
