Unfortunately not in time to stop the current Republican ( Plutocrats ) from cutting our Social Security COLA, which apparently was too much at 1.7% and cutting our Medicare benefits. What is wrong with them ? With all the needless spending that goes on ( Wars, Tax breaks & loopholes for the Most Profitable Co's, Overseas Aid, etc...) , they attack the already struggling seniors and disabled.Response to Re: Such people make me believe Republican Party will re-built itself: more about MARK WILLIS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=od_hmAeMbJQ Posted by Astra2012 |

I voted Republican from the age of 18 to 50. Ronald Reagan was my hero. I can't recognize the Republican Party anymore. They have gone from being a patriotic party in favor of economic responsibility to a party of crazy suicidal economic bombers! They almost sound like the National Rifle Association members who advocate civil war rather than compromise. How did that last Civil War work out for you guys? They behave as if they think one has to destroy the USA in order to save it! Thanks to the Tea Party hijackers of the Republican Party, our government bond ratings were dropped from AAA to AA in the last debt ceiling shodown. The crazies almost torpedoed the recent Fiscal Cliff negotiations. Now they are ready to go at it again with the latest debt ceiling negotiations. Watch our bond ratings drop to single A! This could increase the interest rates we have to pay China and other creditors to keep them buying our debt. I will never vote for the Republicans again. I do think some adjustments of Social Security and Medicare will eventually be necessary. But we should sit around a negotiating table and negotiate like adults. Thanks to gerrymandering and their ability to intimidate moderates in primaries, we probably won't get rid of the Tea Party people in Congress anytime soon. |

Makes their big contributors happy and makes them look good in the eyes of their corporate owners. I don't see the policies of the GOP changing at all.....they want smaller gov't towards spending it on we-the- people and increasing the spending on the military or increased tax relief to the wealthy--more subsides to corporations who don't need it. They would deny affordable healthcare for everyone in a heart-beat....and would privitize everything regardless if it would harm the most vulnerable. . As long as Fox TV has such a fan-base ...with The SAUDI ARABIAN PRINCE Al-waleed bin Talal who owns controlling interest in FOX funds radical madrassas all over the world.....and Fox won in court the right to lie..... Grover Norquist has control of the GOP in congress.....Rush Limbaugh has the ear of the right-wing judges and some in congress.... Democrats and republicans live in different intellectual and moral universes.....and that won't change with changing ONE person as head although I would love it. .

Posted by prieten I agree with most you said (except for R Reagan) and I responded to the fact that the GOP has been hijacked by the neocons under the image of the evangelicals, the KKK, the American version of the taliban...and the Bilderberg's There may be other steering groups...but still there must certainly be some sociopathic minds behind Bilderberg since they go to so much trouble to promote policies that lead to exploitation , inequality and despair. These individuals seem oddly switched off from the suffering they are clearly causing. Trickle-down (initiated since Reagan) has been proven to be just a trojan horse to keep the TOP RATE down..... |

i believe there are honest people even in the Republican Party--not many of them...those who voted against Iraq war (8 of them?)Like some Democrats are also traitors to American people. Pelosi, Reid- even Hillary Clinton who voted for war in IIraq. only 89 D voted to audit the FED- clearly in the interest of people! only these people are honest and deserve to represent us--and be paid by us! |

In my humble opinion, those who mislead us with deception into the Iraq War are the ones who should be held accountable for all those lost lives and trillions of dollars. Weapons of Mass Deception at the highest level. Almost criminal !!!
