In Response to About the " START A NEW DISCUSSION ": I don't know where else to make this inquiry. So, I want to ask if anyone else here has a difficult time "maneuvering" around on this message board ? To explain further, after I post a message the page goes blank. I have to use my brouser to get back to the title page....then onto the GOVT & Elections section again. If other people are having this same problem, it might not be worth while for them to use this board when there are so many other sites to exchange information on that aren't this difficult to use. I have noticed that we don't have the participation we had before all these changes were made. Posted by JANMB I don't have any problems but it is a very clumsy format - yes, I do have to jump around to get back to where I want to be. I don't think AARP cares about this board; I don't think they care about the other discussion board either - it is just as clumsy in its workings and everybody and his brother can start a new "Group" so it makes for a huge mess. Do you really think that people here are interested in discussion? I don't except for a few. Maybe it is the American way of thinking that you can just yell and yell to get your way and these one time posters are doing just that. I can imagine what they are hearing in that "Medicare & Social Security, We want to know collection." I came back to edit and add - it seems that the "fluff" categories get a whole lot of post so maybe folks just aren't interested in many of the other topics. |

Posted by JANMB You may want to check out General Discussions About AARP Community at the bottom of the Message Boards or place this discussion in the Community Help Group. Give information about your computer, your operating system and how you connect to the internet along with what browser you are using. I will let you know what happens when I Submit this reply. Edited: After clicking on Submit the page did go blank for a short time then it brought back up all the post except mine. I had to go back to the forum and click on this discussion. My reply showed when I did that. |

Posted by GailL1 I confess I don't bother with this board much at all due to the lack of interest from other people to post. THe other GROUP is as difficult or more difficult for me to navigate and I think it has to do with what kind of browser one has and I'm not even certain about that. Exchanging information is a good thing......democracy is debating and discussing issues. If you check out Huffington Post.....they have a good messaging board system and its mainly civilized. It would be nice to have a seniors board here with participation. |
