I started a petition on We The People (fwiw) and it needs nearly 5,000 more signatures to be considered by... someone???? It is simple. It asks that all newly elected members of Congress partake in Social Security, instead of their own program. The ONLY way, IMO, to get this fixed is to make Congress feel the pain. If it is their problem, not YOUR problem, it'll get fixed. We can whine all day, but who really cares? Make them part of the problem, and they'll find a solution. Until then, we are just whistling in the wind. Please see https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions#!/petition/social-security-congressional-members/yPjpTxyc Thanks. john |
