From 1964 to 1971 I served on Active duty with the US Military.Now Social Security will only give me credit for three of those years. How do I get credit for the time I worked while in the military?

From 1964 to 1971 I served on Active duty with the US Military.Now Social Security will only give me credit for three of those years. How do I get credit for the time I worked while in the military?

I will be 65 next November I'm retired Military how does that effect  my social security, and medacare,does any body know. Thank you
