In Response to Re: Who should be in the White House? Democrats or Republicans? : There is no question that Obama has failed to clean up the mess, at least as fast as everyone would like but the fact remains that this mess was made by Bush.  Two unpaid wars and stuffing the pockets of his rich friends at the same time...that will run up the deficit quickly.  Yes, the debt has gone up tremendously during the Obama years to stave off a depression.  If you have studied the last depression, you will know that cutting government spending in the middle of a depression (or great recession) is exactly not what to do.  If Obama had not spent those monies to save the banking industry, the auto industry and public employment in general, we woud be in a depression today...ask any informed economist conservative or liberal.

What about Solyndra?
I can add a bunch of other "green" energy companies that were lent money under the current administration that are now "belly- up" - taxpayer money gone.

His housing programs under the Making Home Afforable Program have been a big joke - helping only a minute number of those forcasted to be helped.

Obamacare (Patient Protection Affordable Care Act) has decided to scape a few planned actions because the numbers just didn't work out (CLASS ACT) or have already run out of money, years too soon (subsidy to employers to keep retirees on the employer coverage).  HHS is now allowing the states to come up with the details on the health care exchanges.

We will soon see how all these changes to Medicare will fair,  if you will like them AND IF they save any money at all.- Accountable Care Organizations, the Independent Advisory Payment Board

Now we have this Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - sounds like superman, doesn't it ?!
Sounds like they are trying to protect people from themselves - who signs their name to something that they don't know what it is!!!!!!  Who give money to someone for "a get rich quick and easy" scheme.
Guess we now see where public education has gotten us to . . . .

In Response to Who should be in the White House? Democrats or Republicans? : You say that if the Republicans take over our country we are in for a real hard time.  What about what Obama has put us through?  Unemployment is the worst it's been in years and our allies are starting to turn against us.  He blames everything on Bush.  Sometime, he has to take responsibility for his own failures. Anybody will be better than Obama!!

It is hard to respond to someone who only knows and comments with what he hears on Faux News! But here goes!
First, can we be honest that President Obama inherited Bush's recession, Bush's two unneeded wars, and Bush's lies about why he attacked Iraq, who was NO threat to the US.

Second, the continued unemployment and economic failure was BECAUSE of Bush's recession and greed of Wall Street, who caused the Housing bust and MORE un-employment.

Third, for over three years, the Republican Tea-baggers stimied ANY effort for the President and Democrats to pass bills to help the American working class, veterans, seniors, students, etc. Instead, these Republican Tea-baggers wanted to increase unemployment by attacks on Public unions, for teachers, firemen, police, etc.

Fourth, in spite of Republican Tea-Bagger obstruction efforts, President Obama policy of small business tax cuts, the country has had 22 months of job growth, slight reduction in unemployment, slow but steady, economic growth. a start to health care for ALL Americans, in spite of Republican Tea-Bagger and their special interest of big Pharma, big Insurers, big oil and gas, and of course big Coal.

Finally, are you talking about the President's cleaning up Bush's failures by killing Bin Laden, bringing our troops home from Iraq, (not enough young men and women deaths for your taste?), or is it his efforts to save SS, Medicare, medicaid?

Are you of the mind like most Congress Republican Tea-Baggers, instead of jobs and the economy, they should focus even more on bills against gay rights, women's health by deny her right to choose, denying voting and civil rights?

Be honest now, what ally has turned against us? Iran, Libya, or maybe Egypt?  I just know it can't be because our President is an intelligent Black Man who actually cares about our country and ALL Americans!

This is Judge Napolitano talking about it:

Although I don't profess to be connected to any political party or religion, I really feel they are both cult like.  I do know that if the present crop of Republicans are able to take over our government we the lowly citizens (99%ters) are in for a real hard time for the next 4 years. All I can attribute my beliefs on is what I hear coming out ot the mouths of the Republicans that are in office at this time, it appears they have no use for the 99%ters and only want more for their bosses ... the 1%ters.

Democrats and republicans live in different intellectual and moral universes.

A few days ago, Governor Perry said: “I would send troops back into Iraq.” (He pronounced it “Eye-rack.”) And he gave a thought-provoking rationale: that the end of that occupation means that “every young man that [sic] lost his life in that country will have been for nothing.”    Like MORE should die or get injured and we should continue to go bankrupt because some have suffered before.

RON PAUL ( Libertarian)  wants the USA to be like  Somalia cause they do  have VERY LOW TAXES no Social Security ..no pesky big gov't bureaucrats & EVERYONE owns GUNS.      But you might die of famine & diseases. -Most free traders like Ron Paul are so religiously committed to the doctrine that they can't even imagine the possibility that they might be wrong.....we have had free trade in the USA and how has that worked for us ??

Mitt Romney, with connections to offshore hedge funds and the noted daddy Bush CIA bank, the Key Bank of Utah.
MITT ROMNEY TIED  HIS DOG TO THE ROOF OF HIS CAR.....but REALLY !!!   That weirdo
rushed to Boston Hosp to intimidate a woman with severe complications to reject abortion but she chose her life.   Said "he was blind to me as a human being"
Romney directed Damon Clinical Laboratories during the time when it racked up $35,000,000 in CRIMINAL FINES for MEDICARE FRAUD, plus subsequently had to make $87,000,000 in restitution for fraudulent billing.
.In Massachusetts he bucked the National Rifle Association by supporting the Brady Bill and an assault-weapons ban, boasting, "I don't line up with the N.R.A."    Lately what he brags about is that he joined the gun-rights organization as a life member —and in fact.....he LIED in NH about being a hunter all his life.       This guy has a BIG problem with the truth.

U-TUBE ??    Le t's look at the actual OBAMA RECORD....  I    LOVE THIS PRESIDENT who took over after such a MESS left over by the GOP.

  • Obama has overhauled the food safety system
  • Advanced women’s rights in the work place
  • Ended Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) in our military
  • Stopped defending DOMA in court.
  • Passed the Hate Crimes bill.
  • Appointed two pro-choice women to the Supreme Court.
  • Expanded access to medical care and provided subsidies for people who can’t afford it.
  • Expanded the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
  • Fixed the preexisting conditions travesty [and rescissions] in health insurance.
  • Invested in clean energy.
  • Overhauled the credit card industry, making it much more consumer-friendly.
  • While Dodd-Frank bill was weak in many respects, it was still an extremely worthwhile start at re-regulating the financial sector.
  • He created a Elizabeth Warren’s dream agency: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
  • He’s done a lot for veterans
  • He got help for people whose health was injured during the clean-up after the 9/11 attacks.
  • He had the courage to give  the command to take out OBL even though it might have meant the end of his presidency.

  • None of these things were priorities for Republicans. They actively opposed, directly or indirectly through obstruction, every single item on this list. In fact, they succeeded in killing a Cap & Trade bill in the Senate after it had passed through the House.

All of these things are improvements that would not have occurred under a McCain-Palin administration. Moreover, a McCain-Palin administration would have moved in the other direction on most of these issues, or come up with even worse compromises.    AND WOULD BE WORSE UNDER ANY REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT.
