I am definitely not rich, and I am voting for Romney, so I guess I must be among the most ignorant of our society. (But I don't think I am.) In Response to Re: Romney Calls Us Moochers: In Response to Romney Calls Us Moochers : Romney isn't the first one to have ever said anything like this cause he knew it was popular amongst the right wingers...especially the wealthy like himself. This notion has been parrotting for a long time that ALL the working poor are just lazy and the old people are moochers. I don't know how they can MOCK that toll-taker, the clerks in the stores, the food on arriving on their table fresh and on time, products they own, infrastructure, medical personnel, cleaning personnel, roofers, secretaries and say we have people who are lazy. Ide LOVE to see all these working people just stay home one week and watch how our society goes into a tailspin. Ide love to see the young folks who are mocking start out from scratch without all the infrastructure we have and the progress made in this country since the early 1900's. I also heard the term ---Don't pay the help too much ....it will spoil them. These statements are coming from soul-less people...with such stinking-thinking. And who really believes they'll vote for anyone like Romney after that statement but the most ignorant of our society who isn't rich. Posted by JANMB |

Astra2012, I plan to vote for Romney because I believe his policies will lead to stronger economic growth and less government, rather than more government. I am also Catholic and pro-life, and Romney's position on abortion is significantly more in accordance with my views than the President's position, who as an Illinois state senator opposed legislation that would protect babies that survived abortions. I am also opposed to the HHS mandate that forces Catholic institutions and businesses to provide contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs in their health insurance plans, which is a violation of religious freedom and conscious. Astra2012, I do not look at Romney as a "lesser evil"; rather, I consider him a better candidate than Obama. There is no perfect candidate or perfect political party. Our democracy in the U.S. is not perfect. But I believe that despite its flaws, our democracy is still superior to any other system that has ever existed in the history of the world, so I disagree that Americans will lose regardless of who occupies the White House. In Response to Re: Romney Calls Us Moochers: Romney was pro-choice when he was the governor of Massachussetts. Job growth was 4th worst in MA - when rated all 50 states.Paul Ryan ALWAYS voted for bills that would bloat the government further. while Obama is always pro-choice, spends OUR money freely, starts new groups or federal programs that make the government even bigger Romney seems to you just "a lesser evil" but he still is evil (imo). To some people Obama is "the lesser evil". And so it goes. Whoever wins Americans lose. Has ANYTHING changed when R was replaced by D (and vice versa) in White House? Posted by Astra2012 |

Astra2012, I understand where you are coming from, and I am also troubled by many things that have become significant influences in our political system (e.g., the power wielded by lobbyists, the Left-leaning bias in the mainstream media). I also agree that way too many Americans are ignorant of current events and the serious issues facing our nation and the world. They are too busy being entertained, and are they are unwilling to learn about the candidates, their policies, and the world around them so that they can make an informed choice at the polls. In Response to Re: Romney Calls Us Moochers: i do not share your beliefes in our system - I look at the facts- like ignoring the voice of American people and reading from teleprompter the WRONG results of the voting at RNC and DNC - and realize that vast majority of the people, including probably all of us here, just do not matter.but i was trained in science i only believe in facts. And the fact is that no matter how bad for the American people the Rep. or Dem. nominee is there are "party loyals" who will vote for them anyway. And they will make themselves believe they really support that "best-for-us" person. it used to be that great system you are talking about but has been hijacked while Americans were watching some reality tv Posted by Astra2012 |

In Response to Re: Romney Calls Us Moochers: You need to go back and take a real good look at what King Obama has done to our health care benefits. Remember no one under 200,000 would have taxes raised well I make only 34,000 a year and had my taxes raised 20%, my TriWest by 25% along with other primeums. If Obama stays in office then expect to loose big time on all Medical Fronts. And as for his aird comment well its the truth, who would give up free hand-outs and actually have to pay their fair share. This is not an intitalment nation we get what we work for and controle our own lives not hearded by the Gov Bosses. I was very disappointed on how much news coverage was given on so called mature retirees booing, we should we should be alot more mature than that with all our life experiances. I was really embarased by the whole thing. GD USN/RET Posted by mscsclg6 I'm embarrassed at your comments --I'm appalled at Romney's..... cause the real MOOCHERS are the people like yourself who are using other's for cheap labor and products. You have more money YOUR pockets ...because so many milions of people aren't paid enough for the work they do......and then the final insult is that you expect them to starve their kids....and pay your share of taxes too. I suggest you grow your own FOOD then not rely on anyone else. You must be the ONLY one in America paying more taxes cause taxes are the lowest they have been since the 40's.....not saying you are lying or anything of the sort........but your accountant must be cheating you. . |

In Response to Re: Romney Calls Us Moochers: [QUOTE]obama is a failure. get a job moochers• You are still the Moocher whether you want to admit it or not.....more so because you won't admit you use people's cheap labor and instead mock them because of it. Also you are the FIRST on this site to make distortions---lies that are not benefiting this country at all. Anyone who has been aware of the current events will find this an attack on decency. I don't know WHY the past couple decades have been all about WINNING at any cost to the TRUTH. Maybe it was Karl-Rove's dirty-tricks seminars in Texas that started this trend. But I'm appalled that it has become a part of the republican party. |
