Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell Endorses President Obama for 2nd Term

Republican 4 Star General Colin Powell, who served as our National Security Advisor under President Reagan and Secretary of State under President Bush told America on "CBS This Morning", that he is supporting and voting for President Obama because he says " President Obama has gotten us out of one war, started to get us out of a second war and did not get us in any new wars and the actions President Obama has taken with respect to protecting us from terrorism have been very solid". Who knows more about national security then this man Powell also praised President Obama for his handling of our economy and said our Nation is heading in the right direction and President Obama has earned four more years in office. Colin Powell also added that " We ought to keep on the track we are on ". Colin Powell also added that " I'm not quite sure which Governor Romney we would be getting with respect to foreign policy,one day Romney has a certain strong view about staying in Afghanistan, but then on Monday night he agrees with the withdrawal - same thing in Iraq ". This endorsement for President Obama, coming from a Moderate Republican, who started his career under President Reagan, when the Republicans actually worked with the Democrats and Independents in Congress to get things done for ALL Americans, says alot for President Obama. Who will you listen to ? Colin Powell or Rush Limbaugh |

not all Republicans are neo-cons! Traditionally Republicans are against interventionism. Pres. TAFT, Republican, didn't want the usa to join NATO so it would not be pulled into some conflict. gen. Powell is against war because he saw it. Ron Paul was the only veteran among Rep. candidates, and the only one against war! |

Astra, My apologies to the few Republicans like Ron Paul, who actually tried to get something positive accomplished in the past 2 years, but unfortunately for America, Most Republicans today hate President Obama more than they care about us. In numbers Republicans lead, but there are also a Democrats (Pelosi, Reid) that should be fired IMMEDIATELY. Our founding fathers were against the formation of parties and i think they were right. These politician should only have people's interest at heart! not party establishment's. Iraq war was NEVER in people's interest and Rep. wanted it. 8 Repub. voted against it and only these people deserve their salary. Federal Reserve has a grip on our country's monetary policy. Although it is called FEDERAL it is PRIVATE. its actions should be transparent and known at least to congress. ,"Audit the FED" was a bipartisan bill but sponsored by a Republican so TRADITIONALLY Dems were against it. Only 89 Democrats in the House voted for it and only these people should stay. Harry Reid in Senate said he will stop it from even being voted for. he is a TRAITOR to American people. We need to start looking at individuals, not the party. Colin Powell, Ron Paul, Kucinich... there should be NO political party! They only divide people. |

General Colin Powell is a man of integrity and he must still have nightmares about the Iraq Invasion.
