and we thought Iraq and Afganistan  have cost too much and time to help AMERICAN PEOPLE because of  the unemployment, foreclosures, infllation...

Meanwhile our (?) representatives voted for authorization of our (?) president to do "military action against  Iran", country that has done nothing to us!

our policy is sickening!

This is Ron Paul speaking in congress--but in the description you will find links to more info.

Oil speculators and defense contractors are some of the groups looking to make a killing on another war. While the nations goes further in debt, funds are cut for the poor and needy, public education is defunded, and our society collapses due to the expense of war, the greedy and wealthy will be lining their pockets laughing at our stupidity. War makes money for many, which is certainly one of the main reasons, some would argue the only reason, that war is even waged.

It becomes even more disturbing when you realize that those who are going to become even filthier rich in the next war are buying out congress.

Unfortunately you are right...

How could we ever elect these people?
When Ron Paul came to congress 30+ years ago he was the only one not "bought" by lobbists (there are more incorruptible people now-- stilll a minority...)

I like one of Paul's bills (of course voted against it) that lobbists are allowed to give either money, or ideas--now they give both and I'd call it bribery...

So far,  Obama is ignoring Syria's problems and also ignoring the ones on the right criticizing him for not starting another war.     The middle east doesn't want our democracy.....they want ISLAM to supercede Govt laws and when this occurs true freedom cannot exist.   It's a waste of money and American lives to interfere.

And you are  right!
Actually you agree with Ron Paul!  (haha how does it feel?)

he is closer here to Obama than to bloodthirsty GOP

(frankly I also felt sorry when in Libya they bombed people and I  wanted usa to "do something")

but Obama orders  assassinations of people  without trial--and that's really overstretching his power.

"Reality check" talks about Obama's kill list:

  • 102 House Democrats Rebuff War Spending - ABC News in 2010

So  Ron Paul isn't the only one against war-spending-----but he's not against the war on women.     There is a big-to-do about the assassination of an American turned traitor--terrorist  in a muslim-country and it's no big loss to the USA or to the world.   The terrorists declared war on the USA  when they killed 3000+ people - orphaned children and not only in the USA  but in other countries too.    It will be a cold day in hell before I feel they ought to get a "trial" so they can be matryed and have a circus made of it all.
No I don't agree that we should  get involved without NATO again... regarding Syria.   I feel sorry that religion causes so much grief in this world.   .

    he

Ron Paul is not the only one against war spending---but he is the only candidate against it

(thanks to our news tv many Americans believe it is a done deal, Romney is the only Rep. left... But this is not true! Ron Paul is still running!)

( I'm a woman and frankly I haven't noticed any war on me...)

(about Syria-all 3 of you (you, Paul and Obama ) are probably right with "do not get involved" policy I'm just sorry (these people are ruthless!)

Awlaki might be a bad guy deserving death (what about his 16 year old son?) but so were Nazis but they got Norymberg trial.
he - and even bin Laden!) could have been tried  "in absentia"

Our country is supposed to be a country of law!

Romney is Pro War. In the 2008 Presidential Debate he agreed that invading Iraq was the right thing to do. He then went on to say that even after finding No Weapons of Mass Destruction, it was still a good decision to invade Iraq. When Romney was eligible to fight in the Vietnam War, he decided to take 4 deferrments and hang out in France with the Mormon missionaries. What did he do in France ? He protested in favor of  U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. He was for the Vietnam War as long as he didn't have to risk his own life. Lord be with our soldiers, if Romney ever wins. n Response to Re: Are we ready for another WAR?:
