In Response to A question about help after Hurricane Sandy: I would like to know how come no other country has offered any help to the U.S. after hurricane Sandy? But we will give millions and millions to other countries!!!!! Was help offered and I don't know about it? Posted by gymdandee OOPS, I made a mistake! Here is some offered help!!
The U.S. has turned down an offer of post-Hurricane Sandy assistance from one of the world's most wanted men, a Pakistani terror leader with a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head. Hafiz Saeed, an Islamist militant who is alleged to have masterminded the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that left more than 160 people dead, issued a written statement Wednesday saying his organization was willing to send supplies and volunteers to help the U.S. East Coast recover. "We are ready to send food items, medicines and doctors to the U.S. for the people affected by the storm," said Saeed.

Saeed is sure as hell doing more than FEMA. After obama had his storm photo op, promising all sorts of aid, FEMA has not shown any presence on storm ravaged Staten Island or Brooklyn. If you are that worried stop talking and go help yourself. Doing is better the saying. FEMA has been there, doesn't the truth matter to you or is it more important to spread hurtful lies ? But we will give millions and millions to other countries!!!!! Was help offered and I don't know about it? Posted by gymdandee I agree that the same thought came to my mind as well. We are very generous as we give millions in $$$ as well as sending help and supplies to countries that have been victimized by natural disasters. Where are the condolences from other nations? It makes me wonder how much our efforts are appreciated, but we are a generous and compassionate nation that responds to need even in hostile countries. However, it makes me wonder how some Repubs would like to defund or to eliminate FEMA that helps our OWN citizens. Why would we happily send aid workers and millions of $$$ of assistance to a Middle Eastern country after an earthquake or to an Asian country after a tsumani? However, helping our own people is nothing more than a question of how we're going to fund it? It makes no sense to me.
