Really? Why? You don't like anything in his policies?  you like bombing other nations? or spending money abroad, not here? (OUR money!)
(btw he says "establishment people hate Ron Paul"   (I belong to "people" and I like his policies very much-)  and of course
they do- he wants to take away their power over this country and give it to people-

BACK TO PEOPLE WHERE IT SHOULD BE

my first post was deleted i see...
in it i wrote about IGNORING
the media show only 3 GOP candidates ignoring Ron Paul
like MNBC before Super Tuesday
Some people even do not know he runs!

here John Stewart talks about media ignoring Ron Paul

You ave about 3 threads dealing with Ron Paul. Why don't you focus on one, or include Ron Paul in each of your titles.

Ron Paul is a weirdo....I agree.... except for some of his ideas about our military  interference in other countries I think the rest of his proposed policies are only good if we had a time-machine to bring us back in time.
For Ron Paul the days of the prairie, of the frontier, of brave pioneers living isolated against overwhelming odds,  in his mind aren't over yet.    i.e  growing our own food---raising our own barns.... .We have become very much interdependent over the past 100 years, and we cannot live in isolation anymore.    We will fail collectively, or succeed collectively. You rely on your fellow man for your needs ....then he leans on you for his needs too ...that's the way it will only work. We are in this together. We contribute to society if we can and should do what we can for ourselves but there are limitations.
When conservatives like Ron Paul want "everyone to rely on themselves"...then they must first seek means or ways for society to actually be able to accomplish that.   You must grow your own food then....don't rely on anyone else. ..

first to Jim

this thread is about ways of propaganda
in my first post, which for some reason was deleted i didn't write about Ron Paul

it was about a lie which when repeated, becomes the truth (like Iraq involvement in 9/11)

then in next i wrote about ignoring by media - and gave Ron Paul as example

In the thread "Republican candidates" I write about Ron Paul because he is one of them. So there is no need to additionally include his name, is there?  (it is replacing "meet the cadidate" series)

"veterans march on White House for Ron Paul"  -  was about a single political event about which I informed readers of this message board only because no news tv covered it!
but it has Ron Paul's name in the title anyway

If I haven't answered you please be more precise.

Of course I do not agree with Jan. Name calling is usually limited to kindrgarden - not for political discussion. just know that this "weirdo" predicted housing bubble and economy crisis while "experts" had no idea...
Who is weird?
as to "hllnorwalk"- he/she posted only once, wanting to be negative about Ron Paul. However I see it as negative about "hllnorwalk" who  must be a very hateful person. I may not like candidates I do not support but I don't hate them.

Jan,  You are exactly right.  We can't isolate ourselves like North Korea has and look where it has gotten them.  We have to share ideas, trade and communicate with ourselves and the rest of the world.  That is why what happens to one of the industrialized nation in the world will effect the rest.  We cannot sit by and let rogue nations like Iran develop nuclear weapons.  It is hard to put a stop to things like this after such failed war policies that George W. Bush initiated.

other ways of propaganda is misinformation
like saying 'isolationism" instead of "non-interventionism'

ana NON-INTERVENTIONISM says:

yes, cultural and scientific exchange, trade   with all nations

but not getting involved in other countries civil wars (Libya  syria), no pre-emptive strikes (Iraq, potentially Iran).

Some naive people believe SOMEHOW that we bomb and kill people because we are good!!!!!!!

No. We bomb because some policy makers have shares in the company which makes bombs - so they get richer (any cost goes to taxpayers of course.

but you can't bomb Iran without involving Russia which promised to help it. So are you rready to start WWIII?
