In Response to Preserve Social Security and Medicare !:
The 2013 Ryan Republican budget passed in the House of Representatives includes huge cuts to Medicare that will cost our beloved seniors on average $5,000 more per year for healthcare. The Republican budget has even more cuts to our middle class. If you rely on Social Security and a fair cost Medicare then you need to stand up and contact your Senators and Representatives. Ask them to please preserve the benefits you have worked for, paid for and planned on to survive with dignity. Unfortunately we have to fight to SAVE OUR SENIORS .

Absolutely friend. Everyone needs to get on board here to save these benefits and it isn't SAVING them by CUTTING them which the Ryan budget sets off to do because he wants to protect the tax breaks for the richest in this country.
BP announced Wednesday a first-quarter profit of $7.1 billion, a 16% increase from last year. ConocoPhilips reported a 44% increase, to $3 billion. Exxon and Chevron are expected to report today $15 billion in first quarter earnings, also an increase of more than 40%.1 In all, the five largest oil companies have reaped nearly $1 trillion in profits in the last 10 years.
But more outrageous than jaw-dropping oil company profits, is the fact that our government actually rewards these companies with even more of our money for maintaining this disastrous system — to the tune of $4 billion a year in tax credits and subsidies. It's time for that to end.
