Sounds like more democrat lies, just like the story of joe soptic, the man that blamed Romney and Bain for his wife's death. Only she died 6 vyears after he was laid off and she had insurance from her company. But, the dems are really good at using hitler's big lie tactic-just repeat the story over and over again and people will believe it.

Nothing is wrong about it except that  Ryan wants to destroy SS  just like Ron Paul when they both collected it  and that's beyond  hypocritical.
The above article was not the first one of it's kind.....when  Ryan presented the budget I read when Ryan was  sixteen his father died. Ryan collected his
Social Security benefits until age eighteen and worked for the family business as a marketing consultant in the 1990s after college. . His 'work experience' in govt was mainly interning and working for conservative politicians.    Essentially, Paul Ryan is a 'rich kid-career politician' from old Wisconsin money who has 'not a clue' about the real world he represents.

You keep repeating the same thing and i answered it already.
hope you will get it this time'

yes, Ron Paul takes SS checks as he was paying (forced to pay actually) into the fund for about 50 years! he still pays and more than he takes!

No, he doesn't want to destroy SS-- as he put it  HE IS THE BEST PROTECTOR OF SS because Obama and Romney spending money like drunk sailors can't guarrantee it! his cuts are OVERSEAS

he protects American people who depend on itr!

he is the only one talking about HIDDEN TAX= increase of prices because of dollar devaluation (as Bush and Obama printed it to bail out their rich friends in banks) and it hurts Americans, esp. poor or retired.

you are losing credibility by seeing only "good" Dems and bad" Reps. It isn't so.

You know what will destroy SS, the fact that the government makes it extremely easy to go on disability. In June more people went on disability than found jobs. There should be two separate funds, one for disability and one for retirement. There should also be an option to allow one to invest a portion of the retirement pot.

I sure would like to see you get a job a shipyard in 100 degree heat and have to walk up stairs ten stories three or four times a day and than work in the bilges of the ship in even hotter temperatures after walking there at your age.  And if it would be left up to you I'm sure the retirement age would be 70.  So you could still be working labrat!  Don't even pretend you could do it because you couldn't. You see Republicans only think of themselves.  This is a big country with many professions some are physically hard and don't pay well and others are physically easy and pay a lot.  Not everyone is cut out for the easy jobs.  Don't cast judgment on others unless you walked in their shoes.

Stop putting words in my mouth. I didn't say anything about raising the age to collect SS to 70. Anyway if I had my druthers I'd go for a phased retirement plan. As you age you would do less physically demanding work. Unfortunately my company didn't have such a plan (working 2-3 days a week).

Well stated, my friend, we all need to respect and have each others backs. We should be proud of each other's contributions to our Nation. All of our jobs are important and built this great Nation. If we stay together, they can't take away the Social Security and Medicare we worked so hard to earn.
The writings on the wall in the Ryan Republican budget for 2013. Romney already stated he agreed with Ryan's plan. Ryan's plan includes $200 billion in Medicare cuts and turning it into a Voucher system,  More Tax Cuts for the Wealthy, Eliminating our Home Mortgage Interest Deduction, and Ryan's favorite from 2008 ; Privatizing Social Security.
If you want to see President Obama's true plan on Social Security  and Medicare and not what Romney's deceitful ads on TV say, go to the web site  whitehouse.gov
