( I don't support HAMAS or HEZBOLLAH )
There are two Palestinian terrorist organizations Hezbollah and Hamas, which thrive on raiding Israel. They won't allow peace talks to work, no matter what their well meaning counterparts attempt to do. We have to remember that Israel has existed since 1948 in a state of war or near war. No question things are going downhill for them with Islamist governments replacing more moderate ones in Egypt and other north African countries.
Just a little history. In 1948 the UN mandate separated the two nations Israel and Trans-Jordan at the Jordan River. The Arabs in the region immediately vowed to annihilate the Jews. At the time I believe that the ratio was 2 million Jews/60 million Arabs. The Brits didn't help things a bit when they turned over much of Israel's infrastructure to Arabs. With enemies both within and on the three surrounding land borders, the Jews managed to maintain a tenuous hold on their little territory. They're still fighting to do that, even with more moderate Neighbors like Jordan to their east.
