The Associated Press has a Q & A from the Obama campaign camp on what ideas the current President is moving towards to help the financial condition of Medicare. AP 09/23/2012: Obama Medicare plan: No voucher but maybe a bill You can be your own judge. For those seniors that are not at poverty level - it is not going to be the Medicare as we once knew it under whomever is elected. We must start opening our pockets real wide. |

I just received the information packet for my Medicare HMO. Thanks to the obamacare cuts to Medicare, all my co-pays go up by an average of 50%. The cost of a 3 month supply of Atorvastatin Lipitor) has tripled and all costs for lab and radiological procedures have gone up by at least 20%. And yes, there are provisions requiring Medicare approval before certain procedures and tests can be done (this is something new). So for all those that believed the obama lie, this proves the skeptics. I don't understand why you are hell-bent on doing damage to this country by lying. I just got my packet and costs are DOWN. I don't believe you have honest intentions at all for discussion about senior's well being. Maybe you aren't even over 65 and maybe you ought to stop harrassing old people and go to a kiddie site. . |

Posted by JANMB According to the paperwork received, my late mother's plan was increasing (she died a few days ago). 1. Her Medigap premium went from $ 195.00 a month to $ 222.00 2. Her Prescription Drug Coverage went from $ 61.50 a month to $ 74.50 Of course, I would have shopped her Medicare D plan and looked at medication changes - just like I would have been able to do under the Romney/Ryan Plan and buy what was the best plan for a person's health care coverage. Why do 28% of medicare beneficiaries now opt for a Medicare Advantage plan over a Traditional Medicare with private insurance coverage under a Medigap plan and Prescription Drug Program?????? Why do you? |

I stand by what I said!! I've spoken to many others and they said the same thing. I've communicated with my congressman about this. I kind of wonder what world you live in, if your Medicare Advantage plan lowered its rates.
