I suggest that we bill the Politicians for the great Debt they created when giving our money to the banks even though they didn't need it (TO BIG TO FAIL)

The late 1940s and early '50s—were years of debt and taxes high enough to make John Boehner turn from orange to red. Partisans keep trumpeting misreported bad news about the debt because they want back in power. IF the republicans TRULY cared about the debt except to use it for political gain.....they would increased the taxes the lousy 3% on the wealthiest.....and wouldn't have started TWO WARS and there is a threat in the wind to start a new one.

Nobody there seems serious about cutting spending but Ron Paul! Really! He has been talking about it for years- and only last year Obama cut lousy 10K to dairies to work against milk spill! are our politicians too tied to big money to care about Americans? Why is it a problem to cut SERIOUSLY government spending? because we pay for it PATIENTLY and the belief that we have to pay taxes is so deeply ingrained? And we were easily led to believe that taxing the rich more will solve the problem. Of course not. When you have bucket full of holes it is of no use to add water to it. First you have to patch holes. More taxes won't do the trick-cutting wasteful spending would! |

If Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, MItt Romney were serious about cutting the national debt. They would take all this money these SUPER PAC.s are donating and put it to the naitonal debt. It would sure put a dent in it. The SUPER PACs also show just how much money is being hidden by the 1%. And to think they are not facing Obama YET!!!! Just think of that cost. We are such fools to think any one of them should be President. in 2008 Obama spent 700 mln on his campaign Romney spent 14 mln in Florida Paul super PAC spent 400.000 there (he spent nothhing; saving for other states...) by no means he belongs to 1% (they all have few mln-$ worth houses, his only house is worth about 300K) but if all that circus money were given to the government it wouldn't help much without cutting wasteful spending. wars. military bases. (like why do we keep military basis in Italy? It is good for their economy- but shouldn't we car moreabout ours?) only Ron Paul talks about it. |

None of this Super Pac spending is right either for the Democrates or Republicans. I think my main point is that this nation has this great debt it owes with these politicians wanting to cut Social Security, Medicare and education, instead of taxing the people with all of this money. It's sad when a candidate can be presidnet of the United States not because he is the best candidate but can buy the presidency. n Response to Re: The Natiional Debt !!!!!!: Double standards? The more money politicians spend the more they are visible and WE, THE PEOPLE will vote for them... So we somehow promote campaign spending. TV ads should be forbidden.Just interviews and debates. (I have just read in USA Today that Obama held fundraiser yesterday-ticket almost 36K! Average American salay is 39.5/year!) Romney and Gingrich spent more than 20 mln in FL. They spend millions for that circus and the Americans are getting poorer... |
