As Jessica Pieklo reported yesterday, the Governor of Wisconsin, with little notice or discussion, repealed the state’s Equal Pay law. For Scott Walker, it was no doubt the most logical step in his ongoing war on women and the working class, as the Equal Pay Law protected not just women but any protected class.

But for the Republican who was most enthusiastic about rescinding the law, it was really about fairness. After all, according to him, money is more “important” for men.

You and the slanted media make it sound like this will end equal pay for (any) group but in reality this law that was rescinded only gave workers more avenues via which to press charges. It allowed individuals to plead their cases in the less costly, more accessible state circuit court system, rather than just in federal court.

They can still file and have their day in court - just a different court but a more powerful court.

Seems like sometimes democrats WANT power at the state level to trump the Feds and other times you want all the power at the Federal level rather that at the state level (i.e., Obamacare).

Or is it you just want ALL the power in some government hands rather than the individual?
Never Fear - the U.S. EEOC is alive and well !
