In Response to Re: When Mitt Romney Came to town. : I don't get what you are so angry about  .....the idea that Obama is destroying America cause he believes everyone should have affordable healthcare ...that  he wants to tax (himself) and the billionaires a little more so  the money can be used for education and healthcare for seniors ?   Republicans like to say "Obama wants to RADICALLY change the United States." Let's examine who REALLY wants to RADICALLY change the United States. Social Security has allowed the elderly to retire with dignity since 1935. Medicare has provided health care for EVERYONE 65 and older since 1964. Women have had the right to choose to carry a pregnancy to tern OR NOT since 1973. Black people have had the right to vote since 1964. Republicans want to turn social security completely over to Wall Street. Republicans want to give total control of health care for EVERYONE to private insurance companies. Republicans want to overthrow Roe v. Wade. Republicans DURING THE PAST YEAR have passed laws to suppress voting for blacks, students and the elderly in EVERY state where they control the legislature.

I don't see where Obama has done any differently than the last 5 presidents. AND I"m not voting for Obama anyway. I'm Libertarian. If the Libertarian candidate doesn't win, I'd rather keep Obama.

In Response to Re: When Mitt Romney Came to town.:
What amazes is people buying into obama's lies. Do you want four more years of the same or worse??? obama has shown the course he wishes to take. Welfare payments of all sorts are on the rise. Immigrants are free to come into this country with no visable means of support and start collecting SSI and food stamps immediately.

"......buying into obama's lies"

Romney and Ryan have been lying from the beginning, and they are not even in yet.
SallyKohn, who is a Fox News contributor and writer, in an Aug. 30, article in Huffington Post says: … “to anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to facts, Ryan’s speech was an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech.
Romney hasen't stood firm on anything. I suppose that is so when he fails, he can say he wasn't for it.
Romney promises to fix a lot of things by closing loopholes, which ones? He has not told anyone how he plans to do anything. He's all smoke and mirrors.
In a better America, Mitt Romney would be running for president on the strength of his major achievement as governor of Massachusetts: a health reform that was identical in all important respects to the health reform enacted by President Obama. By the way, the Massachusetts reform is working pretty well and has overwhelming popular support.

In reality, however, Mr. Romney is doing no such thing, bitterly denouncing the Supreme Court for upholding the constitutionality of his own health care plan. His case for becoming president relies, instead, on his claim that, having been a successful businessman, he knows how to create jobs.

This, in turn, means that however much the Romney campaign may wish otherwise, the nature of that business career is fair game. How did Mr. Romney make all that money? Was it in ways suggesting that what was good for Bain Capital, the private equity firm that made him rich, would also be good for America?

And the answer is no.

The truth is that even if Mr. Romney had been a classic captain of industry, a present-day Andrew Carnegie, his career wouldn’t have prepared him to manage the economy. A country is not a company (despite globalization, America still sells 86 percent of what it makes to itself), and the tools of macroeconomic policy — interest rates, tax rates, spending programs — have no counterparts on a corporate organization chart. Did I mention that Herbert Hoover actually was a great businessman in the classic mold?

In any case, however, Mr. Romney wasn’t that kind of businessman. Bain didn’t build businesses; it bought and sold them. Sometimes its takeovers led to new hiring; often they led to layoffs, wage cuts and lost benefits. On some occasions, Bain made a profit even as its takeover target was driven out of business. None of this sounds like the kind of record that should reassure American workers looking for an economic savior.

In Response to Re: When Mitt Romney Came to town.:
In response to "When Mitt Romney Came to town.": The video highlights a decaying town, Marrianna Florida. Like many the town was about to experience a revitilization over time and the reduced demand for Laundromats was eminent due to the reduced interest by communities to have Apartments in their town due to their high crime and drug association. Hence the reduced demand on the appliance being manufactured. Our future condition can be determined only by considering any changes that apply to our current condition. And these changes occur with the passage of time. So marginalizing markets in changing times in most cases as they will have an adverse effect on many citizens they will ultimately have a very positive effect on their peers. One may argue the security the employees had and human nature will dictate they are grasping on to the general assumption the company which has employed them for many years will be there for all the generation of their family members and never ever go away is ludicrous. It's human nature to avoid change. But change is good! Healthy in most cases. The seasons change, children change, your Presindent even ran on change. So if Bain Capitol rescued a future failing company and employees lost their jobs the fact that their jobs were in jeopardy anyway. So don't blaim Bain. They should look at the potential for obsolescence in their company's business model.

I didn't vote for Obama, and I didn't vote McCain. I will not be voting for Obama, and I will not be voting for Romney.
But, out of these two choices, I prefer Obama.

The only thing I know for sure about Romney is, he doesn't know for sure where he stands. He's an open liar, he walks both side of the fence, depending on who is asking the questions, or he clams up and doesn't answer when he's forgotten what Rush told him to say. He's openly prejudice, likes the idea of more war, and doesn't think before he speaks. He makes sure everyone knows he thinks he's better than they are... " bet ya 10,000.00 " &  his wife "drives a couple Cadillac's". He likes waving his money under everybody's nose. I don't care how much money he has. Two things he doesn't have are ethics and morals.

I firmly believe that Romney's world of "all for the 1%" will be even worse, than what we have now and worse than the Bush years.

The man is a Vulture Capitalist.

Definition of 'Vulture Capitalist'
1. A slang word for a venture capitalist who deprives an inventor of control over their own innovations and most of the money they should have made from the invention.

I do not feel it is in the best interest of this country, to have a man like Romney represent the U.S. He does not represent me or my beliefs. The world doesn't look on us very kindly now, and a man like Romney will undoubtedly make that viewpoint worse.

The one thing that the Romney supporters I’ve talked to, as civilly as possible of course, have been unable to provide me with is a reason to vote for Mitt Romney. When I ask for such a reason, the response usually boils down to some variation of “Barack Obama is a bad man.”

So let me ask you that question. What outstanding reason do you have for voting for Mittens? And please, don't give me examples of how Obama is destroying the country. I don't buy into the propaganda and fear mongering of the right wing. Give me something of Romney's own standing. Something Romney has a unique stance or viewpoint on. Because so far, on at least 23 issues, Romney and Obama are in total agreement.

Maybe you are part of the 1%. Then yes, you should vote Romney, because he's all for the 1%. Me, no.... I'm the working stiff that supports this country, the one Romney is going to take to the cleaners.

And "It's not rocket science buddy", Romney has destroyed thousands of families and jobs in this country, for his own personal gain. NOT PROPAGANDA... PURE HISTORY.
