Microsoft O/S Upgrades Ignore Older Seniors

Microsoft O/S Upgrades Ignore Older Seniors

Year after year (seems like about every other year) Microsoft upgrades (and changes how things look and work) when it comes to our computers and monitors: Win95, Win98, Win2000, WinXP, Vista. Win7 and now Win8! Within our family, we operate three machines: one using Win98, one using XP and one using 7. Can't put 7 one the Win98 machine because it's too old. The XP maching is using devices that will not work on 7. And now 8. Support for Win98 is long gone. Support for XP is gone unless it's been update with SP3 (which was a bitch getting) and that support is phasing out soon. We are living on SS and a very small annuity payout. Cannot afford to upgrade anymore. Cannot afford to replace any of the macnines which used daily. The youngest user is 74. Yeah we should be able to learn new things but this upgrading is a war against seniors.

There may be some videos that could explain how to do things in Windows 8. I haven't used windows in years, so I couldn't help much, but sometimes seeing something done in a video makes it easier than reading a web page FAQ. |

There may be some videos that could explain how to do things in Windows 8.
