Rick Perry bowed out - we have 4 GOP candidates left. Since he is the only anti-war candidate (including Obama...) I support Ron Paul and I want everybody here to know more about him of course I will

In Response to Re: meet the candidate- RON PAUL : You may argue that the media have selected Romney, but it is the electorate who has given him the votes. Unfortunately appearances does play a part for stupid people. Good looks do not make a government run better. I do not think Lincoln looked that great but he is one of the best presidents we have had. Obama ran on CHANGE. People should have asked what CHANGE. For me change is neutral since it does not mean good or bad for it depends on what the change is. Now we face some of OBAMA's CHANGES and I think they stink.

yes, people vote, not media, but most people are easily influenced by media. If on tv they say that everyone votes for Romney
they want to vote for him too!
A friend from another state wrote that  tv came to their voting place, but since everyone there was for Ron Paul the tv left without interviewing anyone.
Ron Paul  has more military donations than all other candidates combined  but when they had soldiers  on tv those soldiers supported ONLY someone else.
Obama promised change and change you have (in your pocket ).
(I heard it somewhere)

People want and need change but are scared of it.
Otherwise they would vote for Ron Paul, who proposes many COMMON SENSE changes, not Romney, who would change notthing!

This was called the bandwagon effect which has been debated. From the beginning the media has focused on the front runners, though they had to keep changing since the front runners kept on changing. You will see now that only one candidate will get much coverage since the primary is pretty much over. With proportional assignment of delegates it would be unexpected for anyone to pass Romney.

Talking about change that is what our government should be paid since that is about all they are worth. This is one of the most ineffective congresses that i have seen with a president who cannot lead but only divide.

Not sure what the basis of their rating is, so it is hard to interpret their scoring. Unlike Ron Paul I prefer taxes, but one that is less complicated and more fair to the citizenry. Just lowering taxes may cause more problems than it resolves as should be said for increasing taxes. It is like the issue of change, since I cannot comment until I know what they are.

The candidacy is about over, and though some may gain I think the decision has been made and it will not be the first time I have disagreed with the American public such as in 2008. The republicans put up a poor candidate and now we have the abortion president. Ted Kennedy now knows how wrong the president is.

as wrong as Obama is so wrong is Romney

i think he will continue  all policies  with some, unsignificant changes which will be trumpeted by media (to  the delight of some people).

After all tthe main contributor to both campaigns is the same: Goldman Sachs.

Ron Paul is really the only one for American people, which for me matters more than not agreeing with him on some particular issues.

With Santorum bowing out this morning the possibility of another candidate winning is over. The last two Gingrich and Paul can not stop him from receiving the number of delegates in the primaries now though you will see Paul and Gingrich garnering more. I expect Gingrich to announce next that he will withdraw or suspend - so he can collect money to pay his funds.

I do not like the program Romney had in his home state but he is not part of the abortion party of which Obama is a cheerleader so I will not say they are the same. There are differences and I would vote for Romney or Paul to get Obama out of office who will bankrupt America. No the Republican candidates are different both in moral social policies such as life and family and they are different in economic approaches.

Some of your points do not work well together like " *he would abolish all income tax and *he would tax all earners at the 10% rate The first is true. However I don't think it is a bad thing. And somewhere here I placed link to video in which economist from wall street J. SAID THAT IT will be good for economy and will mean massive influx of jobs many of the things you mentioned are good, in my opinion! COSMETIC changes proposed by all other candidates, including Obama, will not do this  time. Ron Paul proposes cutting overseas spending, and taking care more about this country and  Americans. Instead of taking care of the borders Iraq/Iran or afganistan/Pakistan he wants to watch our borders. Instead of pumping taxpayers money into economies of Japan, Germany, Italy ...(130+ countries) he wants to close military baes , end all wars--and really support our troops by bringing them home All social issues should be in jurisdiction of states (as it is now e.g. with death penalty) He really cares about American people!

Ron Paul said he would get rid of all income taxes.    If he now  changed his mind and decided 10% was more fair to millionaires anyway...then     Americans need to recognize that low-- taxes are only are meaningful to the rich.

Ron Paul  is going back to TEXAS-----but no worry ---another flipflopper is the candidate and god-only knows who the VP candidate will be......it was a doozy the last time around.

Jan- Ron Paul is the last politician to calll flip-flopper IF YOU ARE HONEST. Yes, sometimes he changes his position, he admits it himself, like e.g. death penalty. He was "for" now he is "against" as he seees it is unfair to poor people.

About taxes--I didn't hear him talking about keeping us taxed; just 15% or smth like that for corporations.

I think both of you, Jan and Jim, have positioned yourselves at two sides of barricade  (Rep. or Dem. camp) because that's what media want us, Americans, to do.

Are you for NDAA like Obama or Romney? What if someone close to you was taken away by military and detained somewhere for any amount of time? We had Independence war when British did that!

Are you ready for next wars or for bombing countries that did nothing to us- like Obama and Romney want?
It would take some money though (so let's tax Americans!) and soldiers (draft?) but whoever "leads" us would be happy...

And abortion issue. Rommey was pro-choice governor of MA. And to me it is a matter of conscience - not party!
