LEAST COMPETENT PEOPLE IN GOVT

The Ryan BUDGET has been named as "inconceivably cruel priorities, the way it slashes taxes for corporations and the rich while drastically cutting food and medical aid to the needy. Even aside from all that, the Ryan budget purports to reduce the deficit — but the alleged deficit reduction depends on the completely unsupported assertion that trillions of dollars in revenue can be found by closing tax loopholes. Paul Krugman (the real thing) has commented on this budget in the NY Times ---
Paul Ryan the head of the House Budget Committee has no expertise in this subject......he was an internet (GO-FER) and worked in marketing for his family's business. I am appalled that we have so many intelligent people in this country and yet who is on this budget committee and what are their qualifications. I beg you to look at this list and there isn't ONE economist amongst them and some haven't even been to college. |

Jan, My daughter wanted me to take her to the movies this weekend for her birthday. She wanted to see a movie called the "HUNGER GAMES". She read the trilogy long before the movie came out. Jan-where is the list you are talking about? But such ignorants were elected by people! And this is really scary! creppelrm - Republican party has been hijacked by monsters who do not care about Americans at all. but these monsters might also control Democratic party since main contributor to both is the same: GOLDMAN SACHS. And these monsters do not care that they ruin this country as long as their pockets are full. Only Ron Paul stands up to them. But the GOP ESTABLISHMENT and many Republicans (like ALL other candidates) are really scary. And the scariest part is that they can manipulate people to vote for them. |

Paul Ryan has a degree in economics. He's also the only one that's proposed a budget. What he says makes a lot more sense than what Marxist Krugman proposes. It's unfortunate that no one in the Democrat party has the guts to call for what's really necessary and that's cutting wasteful programs and carefully analyzing the way tax dollars are spent. We don't need to spend billions of our tax dollars on Solyndra and the other 14 "Green Energy" companies that went belly up. We have to be realistic about healthcare. Obamacare is an utter failure. Tort reform was never addressed, nor was setting up competition between insurers on a national basis. Most of Obama's unelected commisars are cut from the same socialist cloth as Obama. We need to restore America to its former greatness, not try to create a clone of failed European socialism. We cannnot go on a spending spree which Obamacare does while taking away individual rights. Medicare and Social Security though called entitlements are obligations the government owes us for what we have paid. Obamacare steals from Medicare and does not have enough finances to provide medical care without bankrupting the economy. Social Security is the biggest holder of the national debt not its cause so cuts there are not justified. Better let us cut the pensions of those who got us into this predicament and reduce the salaries which they have not earned. Medicare is of more concern, but there we need the taxes raised to support it as we move onto the future. A flat tax makes sense as long as everyone pays it, and you raise the level where a person first starts paying taxes. Personally I would like to cut both houses in half, yes a 50% cut in the Congress. Just think of all the money we would save and I do not think we would feel represented. This would call for an ammendment but I think this is one cut most Americans would support. They have not supported our jobs, and it is about time that we return the favor and send half of them home. |

Posted by Astra2012 No this would have to be an amendment through the states using the convention process not the federal Congress since they would not want to give up their jobs. This is from Article V of the Constitution. Unfortunately I am not optimistic about the states since they may see the writing on the wall. In my state we have so many levels of governments it is absurdly wasteful. |

These crown princes of capital use violence at the sharp end as we see during the OCCUPY demonstrations for the repossession of homes men and women have worked a lifetime for - needless deaths from starvation and geopolitical machinations. There must certainly be some sociopathic minds behind Bilderberg since they go to so much trouble to promote policies that lead to exploitation , inequality and despair. |
