Do you have any idea how many innocent children and adults were killed for NO REASON in Iraq ??? Non partisan estimates say over 100,000 killed for what ??? Estimates on the amount of children killed during the Iraq Invasion is not available where I have searched. I wonder why ?Response to killing children...:

I don't blame Obama for Iraq and Afghanistan as these wars were instigated under Bush. I remember watching the entrance into Iraq back in March of 2003 as innocent Iraqis were bombed right before our eyes. It was shocking, but almost shown as a prime-time TV special.

I believe that most of the drones are attacking militants, but it's all ridiculous as it's not resolving anything. We're involved in these wars and drone attacks to keep the military industrial complex in business. I realize that Obama has a time-table, but we must keep the warhawks from encouraging us to invade Iran, Syria and other nations that they feel threaten us.

excellent point. Bush killed more children so Obama's killings are justified.
All in our, AMERICANS, name.

Drones killed about 80 people that our government didn't like.About 3000 people were killed as collateral damage.
Can you imagine some country doing this TO US?

you are never sure if drones will not kill someone dear to you...

Let's get real.....the people in Pakistan harbor terrorist...and if they cared about their children---they would not give the alQuida protection. Terrorists are imported from Pakistan and the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan ...known fact.

In June for example...the al-Qaida leader killed in a drone strike Monday was linked to at least two terror plots that targeted New York City. ....would you have preferred another bombing in NYC instead ?    These leaders were taken out  without the loss of ONE AMERICAN LIF E and I think that's important ....enough Americans have been sacrificed already to keep you safe ...me safe the country safe.  .
According to the way the story goes, the President approves every name on the list of terrorism targets, reviewing their biographies and the evidence against them, and then authorizing "lethal action without hand-wringing." As the president has slowly drawn down American forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, the use of drone attacks to take out senior leaders of al-Qaeda and the Taliban has become the primary tactic for fighting terrorism overseas.
I prefer to use the drones than our own kids be sacrificed for what was a terrorist-started war. but apparently some who aren't going to be in battle think its fine to send other's to harm's way..

you mean we send drones because there is alQuaida there? The same alQueida we cooperate with in Syria?

Cheap shot. Besides, that what you have been told - not necessarily the way it is.

i do not distinguish nationality of life. Life is life. And i would feel safer if they ptotected botders of THIS country not Iraq or Afghanistan.

President has no right - legal or moral- to do that. He is not a judge.

Was referring to people in DC who find it easily to send our kids to battle who never went to battle themselves.

ISLAMABAD — An American drone strike in Pakistan has killed a top Taliban commander who sent money and fighters to battle the U.S. in Afghanistan but had a truce with the Pakistani military, officials said Thursday.

The death of Maulvi Nazir is likely to be seen in Washington as affirmation of the necessity of the controversial U.S. drone program. It is likely to be viewed in a different light by military officials in Pakistan, however, because Nazir did not focus on Pakistani targets.

Nazir was killed when two missiles slammed into a house in a village in South Waziristan while he was meeting with supporters and fellow commanders. Eight other people were killed, according to five Pakistani security officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

The U.S. rarely comments on its secretive drone program, and Pentagon spokesman George Little said he could not confirm Nazir's death, but he added that if true, it would be "a significant blow" to extremist groups in the region.

He said it would be helpful not only to the U.S. and to Afghanistan but also to Pakistan, because "this is someone who has a great deal of blood on his hands

You are right that those of "our" officials who vote for war should be prepared to send their kids first (Chelsea Clinton too?)

I am NOT changing my opinion after having read that article. Killing is wrong!
