Where have they gone? Does anyone care? Political discussion, like work ethic and child rearing in this country are seemingly reduced to minimalist standards. Are we not a responsible society anymore?

Are we not a responsible society anymore? Are we not our brothers keepers? Apathy and ignorance are food and shelter for evil............. Must we wallow in them???????????

I cannot support a movement that holds that purely religious doctrine should govern civil political decisions and that uses the sacredness of religious faith for the pursuit of worldly power.     I cannot support a movement which has no real respect for the institutions of government and is prepared to use any tactic and any means to fight political warfare rather than conduct a political conversation.
The above statement was made by a former republican.
IKE  started the "socialist" highway system.   Warned the party that to try and get rid of social benefits would be the destruction of the party.    Then he said ..
"In the councils of government, we must guard against
the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or
unsought, by the military- industrial complex."
President Dwight D. Eisenhower Farewell Address    January 17, 1961

NIXON established the EPA  that republicans today want to get rid of.    Those are the few examples of the changes in the republican party.

They the  loss of Honor, Pride,  Respect......for the presidency was forthcoming when the black president was freely elected and some still haven't gotten over it.

well, who wans to get rid of EPA?

i really don't care what color is Obama's skin--however i care that
1. Goldman Sachs is main donor to his (and Romney's) campaign
2. he is very inexperienced (and so easily manipulated  e.g. why does he comment about Zimmerman's case?)

as to honor, respect,pride--these are very individual  traits
but if we speak aboiut the usa ass the whole
i believe we lost it when Americans lost power to govern this country --
now our government is feared and hated, but i don't think Ameican people are

we may earn all back when we demand the usa back!
