The unemployment rate magically dropped from 8.1-7.8% and that with the addition of only 114,000 jobs. And this less than two days after obama is soundly defeated in a debate. Some insisight: http://s

Does this mean you still don't have a job?  I'm beginning to think you don't want a job.

This was such devastating news to the republicans that when the Jobless rate's drop to 7.8 percent.....it  triggered conspiracy theories.       But I'm so certain if the rate went UP instead....they would feel the same way.....  lol

Selling something on E-Bay makes me an entrepreneur. As such, I am employed according to the new BLS rules. I did mention that I'm working part time. I'll also be working as an NYC poll worker.

The Fiscal Times:  Unexpected Job Numbers Reflect Demographic Destiny

Counting as we once did, seems a little old hat especially with so many (new) variables.
  • 10,000 baby boomers retiring each month
  • new college grads grabbing at parttime holiday (seasonal) employment
  • working several parttime jobs and adding another
  • counting a job that you once had as just to bring in a little extra, now is your primary employment
  • all those ebay sellers that had to report their income from sales beginning last year (entrepreneurs)
  • more companies hiring parttime positions (less than 30 hrs per week) rather than full because it save them money on benefits (Obamacare included).
I think we have entered a new American age.
