In the wake of the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Benghazi attacks against American citizens, Barack Obama stood in front of the U.N. and representatives of Iran and other despotisms yesterday and said:

"The Future Must Not Belong To Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam."

This was a coded apology for the cartoonish video that this administration continues to believe, in the face of all evidence to the contrary, was the cause of attacks against U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya and Egypt. The administration's delusion that impoliteness about the Prophet, and not planned Islamic terrorism, is the actual cause of the jihad against us.

This abject appearance by the President before the U.N. was part of a move inside this administration to appease Muslim nations who have begun an offensive to suffocate free speech about the violence and genocide committed in the name of Islam. The U.S. is slowly but certainly accommodating the view that free speech, when it comes to religious (i.e. Muslim) matters, is suspect. We have reached this point, in large part, because of the growing success of the idea that any criticism of Islam is actually pathology, rather than a legitimate exercise of free speech. It is, in other words, "Islamophobia."

This all signals the end of the sacred right of Freedom of Speech enshrined in our Bill of Rights. Has Barack Obama forgotten that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights and that these rights do not come from our government?

The President, by his actions and his words, threatens to tear apart our First Amendment right of Free Speech.
Sincerely,

David Horowitz

that stupid movie was a provocation to make stupid radical muslims act crazy. Some people enjoy rioting, nobody can change that. These unfortunate events resulted in deaths...

Obama does his best trying to calm them down. I am sure that Americans in Middle East are happy he acts this way.Let's think about them first when talking about Middle East.

The movie had nothing to do with the rioting. They just HATE the West. Face it- What we have is a battle between the forces of Freedom (embodied in what our Constitution stands for) and the forces of totalitarianism, embodied in islam. islam is an entire life system. Their goal is to establish a world wide caliphate which would enslave the unbeliever (us dhimmis). What amazes me is the support liberal women are giving these islamists-if they were under this system they would be forced to wear bhurkas, not be educated, and be subjugated by their husband or male relative.

Yes Labrat,
And the Labrat of the Middle East is telling his peace abiding neighbors who think he's crazy "They hate Islam and make fun of the Prophet"  "What we have is a battle between Good and Evil."   No it's a battle of Evil and Evil.  You two Labrats are both wrong.  The majority just want to live and let live.

I saw the film on You Tube, but thought it was totally stupid and provocative. It had no plot line, nothing to offer viewers with its objections to Islam. Now, if the writer had wanted to show a serious objection to Islam, he could have selected evidence from their terrorist attacks over the decades. This would have had a greater impact than insulting their prophet.

The Islamic world is just as guilty for over-reacting to this nonsense or any cartoons or lewd images. In reality, these people in the streets are being used by militants who are seeking political control. In religions, those who seek power often use religion to control the masses. How many of these Muslims really saw the film? Instead, they just re-acted violently to it being a product of the US. Usually these are people who have little education, jobs or a future. The same goes here where the religious right stirs up emotions among those who re-act rather than think.

Unfortunately, the Muslims are destroying their own well-being and future prosperity by bombing and torching buildings. With the rich culture and heritage in their countries, they could have a substantial future in tourism and in trade. If they're secure in their faith, nothing should upset them where killing the innocent is the only answer.

It should be obvious that I'm speaking about those islamic brotherhood, al qaeda, whatever extremists that do not want to co-exist with the West.

Astra, i have no problem with those that wish to live peacefully alongside us. I do have a problem with those that wish to subjugate us or force us to live by their rules. Freedom of speech is one of our Constitutional rights. While there is some that is hurtful, It still is our right. Christians were offended by "artwork" which was supported by government grants, but still didn't riot and kill people in the streets.

Christians had their (huge) share of religious wars. nobody had to offend them, it was enough not to be Christian to get killed in the name of (Christian) GOD.i guess Christians just wised up--and the same would - hopefully-happen to all religions (like hindi and islam in Asia) in time...

That "movie" has been done ONLY to provoke radicals, it had NO artistic value, no plot, no nothing.
We might have the right to freedom of speech but -as with all freedoms- it comes with RESPONSIBILITY

You forgot to mention that in the same speech President Obama said that he was under sworn oath to protect and defend the US Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and he noted that included Freedom of Speech. Why?

All the President was saying was that the future does not belong to those who insight hatred.
