Well Said!! And absolutely the truth which no one can deny unless wanting to hide the truth. In Response to Has everyone forgotten the late Sixties? 50 years later.......: I know where I was. Sweating out the lottery numbers for the draft. I remember and I was there in Chicago. I watched the street action and the convention. We ended up giving away the election to Richard Nixion. The war continued and economy began to tank by 1971. My father in law, a VP at a major electronic firm was let go. Oh but, Nixion promised he had a plan in his desk drawer to end the war and Prosperity would return.Well we all know what happen next. Spiro Agnew and his scandal, Nixion and his cover-up, Jerry Ford and his pardon to Nixion and the American people suffered. We in a daze ended up with a simple peanut farmer and he couldn,t get anything done except road for Atlanta and a screwed up farm bill that raised the price of milk 5 fold. Then the so-callled new day. An actor, a salesman, a puppet for BIG business. The only trickle down I got was from my roof leaking. Deficits soared as we outspent Russia,we put old ships from WWII in action and the debt just grew. The first evil specter came up in this time about limiting women's right to her body and code words for the poor became acceptable. The first action Reagan took was to decertify the air traffice controllers and the real war was on. Does anyone know how we really had too many close calls during the eighties at the airports? The war against the middle class had begun. 12 YEARS LATER, a man from Hope Ark. came to town, and although he may have had some personal issues. A congress that was OK with their moral conflict reviled him and all he really brought to America was BALANCED BUDGETS, GOT work for WELFARE, We had great prosperity and Bush came in through the power of Big Money and stole the election and proceeded to destroy all the work Clinton had done. Now I am not blaming him for 9-11, no. I blame him for calling us to Arms, not to get Osama bin Landin, but to finish his daddy's war by lying to the World and using Colin Powell as a rube at the UN. Bush said 87 Billion is what he needed. 8 years later, No Bin Ladin and Trillions spend and no one appreciated us in the world. By now 5000 kids, my grandkids are dead for what? For Haliburtin, Chaney, and the goons of privateers. Bush never paid for these wars. Now Obama gets in and all the republicans swear to stop every piece of legislation He got thru in the first 2 years the one piece of law that will serve all of us. Afforable health care Act. I have preexesisting conditions and ha been refused insurance, that law got it for me and for that he has my vote. Anyone who thinks Mtt cares about us is lying to themselves, vouchers and slums will be greeting us and we will end up on the street because we are slackers, we cant support ourselves, we need help so we are worthless. Well, I have earned a great deal of wealth in my life and I still am worried. I can live with my great capital gains rate but I can't sleep knowing there are still to many people who Vote Against themselves because he is black. You know darn well that is the reason. Grow up everyone, we are too old and we are too smart to be fooled by this salesman/con-man. Vote for America. Vote for Democrats. So remember, don't be fooled again! Posted by mjprete60 |

Todays Right Wing Republicans want us to spend all our time caught up in the falsehood hatred for President Obama, so we dont pay attention to what they really are planning on doing to us. Corporate Billionaires hate Obama because he is standing firm for our seniors, disabled, Veterans, poor children and both middle & lower class workers. Corporate Billionaires stand to make Billions more If they get their way privatizing Social Security and turning Medicare into a Voucher system. Corporations dont want to pay any FICA Taxes for their employees, because the greedy CEO's dont need or want Social Security or Medicare and dont care If we do. Mitt Romney made hundreds of millions of dollars sending our jobs, pensions and worker's healthcare to Communist China, so the CEO's could hoard millions more from having products made in China's sweatshops for pennies per hour. Wake up people. This is not Ronald Reagan's Republican party anymore !!! A vote Republican today, is a vote against yourself, unless you are a millionaire, who doesn't care about those struggling to survive with dignity. This is coming from the heart of an ex Republican, now Independent, who doesn't want 2% of America deciding what's good for the rest of us. esponse to Re: Has everyone forgotten the late Sixties? 50 years later.......: Well Said!!
