Far from the truth!!  If you should get cancer, you would want a private insuranse over medicare FOR SURE!!!!! and if it takes no money out of pocket to get it, that is even better.  Private insurance will get you A1 care over medicare in serious situations!  been there!!

Ryan probably should have brought his wife, Janna, who has worked for years as a Private Healthcare Lobbyist in Wash. D.C. She has been lobbying for 3 of the largest Private Healthcare Companies in an attempt to dismantle Medicare and turn it into a Voucher System. The couple has a convenient connection to accomplish just that, at our expense unfortunately, because the Voucher system will be our death sentence. It reminds me of the Cheney - Halliburton connection and that sure worked out well for them, but not us.Response to Re: Election 2012 Debate Season :

Reasons I am Voting for Romney:
1 . will not borrow from Medicare to pay for Obamacare(716 billion)
  2.  His tax code helps EVERYONE and CREATES JOBS and GROWS ECONOMY!                                                                                     3. He knows how to reach across th isles and work with congress!!!!,!!!!!!!                                                                                             4. WE NEED A LEADER, NOT a person whom goes around appologizing. The miidle East is on fire, burning flags, pictures            of Obama and we are protrayed as weak!!                                                                                                                                             5. obamacare will have a 15 member unlicensed nonmedical panel whom will decide the cheapest procedures and                    medicines to take care of you!  Eventually medicare will become Obamacare!                                                                              6. Our children who become successful, should be rewarded for thier success. As college grads they should be rewarded f      for thier success.  If that success is granted in monetary rewards, the government punishes per taxes!

With the time alloted for discussion, voter should pay attention to the the general approach to problems esp. Medicare
One thing everyone agrees is if nothing is done Medicare will go bancrupt. We retirees tend to focus much more on ourselves and that is understandable. But how about our kids and grandkids? Time of reform is long needed otherwise we will end up with a bang!

Do we want to have a BULLY for President?  for that is what Romney truly is. Think of what that means to have a BULLY as President?

dlc, That is a falsehood from the republicans and Fox News, truth is Obama's plan saves $716 billion over 10 yrs. and Romney's tax plan   favors the wealthy, especially If Medicare gets turned into a Voucher system, we will pay through the roof. Once those  Private Insurance Companies get their hands on us, it will be profits before care, my friend. Obamacare puts limits on price jumps from insurance companies, including drugs and products.
Dont believe me, do yourself a favor and go to a non-partisan site like the Congressional Budget Office or Politifact.com.  One of our  bloggers told me about politifact.com. I would watch Fox news and fact check their stories and more than 50% of the time politifact found the Fox  news story inaccurate. I wonder who owns Fox ?
I used to be a Republican back in the Reagan years, but that party left town and now I'm Independent. It seems like 90% of the Republicans today are so far right wing that nothing gets done, unless its everything their way. A government cant function staying on the far right or far left only on issues and still be a democracy. Thats how I see it.
Good luck, I hope you find your answers.Response to Re: Election 2012 Debate Season:
Reasons why I am choosing Romney:   1. He will not borrow money(716 bil) from medicare, as Obama did!   2. His tax policy benefits everyone and creates jobs!   .
