President Obama had several opportunities to expose Mr Romney's lies and inconsistencies: specifically The cuts to medicare ($716B) do not jeopardize beneficiary benefits, they cut waste...Paul Ryan has the same $716B in his budget. President Obama needed to counter that each time it came up...simple language - Mr. Romney your VP running mate has the same cuts.

Romney's tax cuts - Pres Obama, spell it out and say it over and over using the same simple language.Romney will extend the tax cuts gven to the wealthy under the Bush administration.
.the argument was the wealthy would then create jobs...they didn't and won't.

The piece de resistance to Romney's claim to create 12 M new good wage jobs?  Ask Mr Romney to tell that to the workers of Bain Capital owned Sensata Corporation in Freeport Illinois.  This profitable company is laying off its American workers and taking the company offshore. The reason....higher profits.. A primary beneficiary?  Governor Romney.  - the workers have appealed directly to Romney including attending a Romney event. when they tried to speak to him, they were ejected from the function.

I am still with you President Obama.

In Response to Re: Election 2012 Debate Season : As a retired M.D., and ex-pat living on Pitcairn Island, it's sad to see how misled you oldies in America are. As if the propaganda flowing down the slopes of BS Mountain (Foxnews) was anything but total lies and misinformation.... I doubt that most Americans can tell the that this Romney guy is just a creepy rich boy that wants to be POTUS so he can ride around in a cool airplane and give out more US money to hos rich friends.  Then you've got Obama who really is the poster boy for the American dream of "Work hard, be anything you strive to be" who is constantly attacked by the petty ignorant right wing media...why ? It's not any secret that it's really just good old race hate. Glad to be so far away, here where Fletcher Christian escaped the torment of British Naval tyranny. By the way, we have single payer health care for all, right here in tiny Pitcairn!

So my husband & I are part of the 47% according to Romney?? We are 77 & 67, my husband pay Federal taxes on his pension, we both pay Federal taxes on our Social Security, I still work part-time, commissioned, so I pay Federal taxes on my income, a small commercial building rental gives us income that we pay Federal taxes on.  Is this the free ride we're taking after a long life of work? How does he figure it?

OK. Let’s think about what is on the table. First the Bush era outsourced the good paying jobs to other countries. The paychecks that took deductions during that time from the baby boomers are what kept Social Security etc solvent. Now a voucher program is suggested, and just who will run it. Gee you think maybe the government. It will cost something for the vouchers and the administrative costs. (and who will decide the worth of a voucher). Could be the government, or health insurance co with the help of other private companies. (run by the rich). And where will the money come from… maybe taxes or..??? Medicare does not pay for everything so you still have to have a separate health insurance to help pay for what it doesn’t. You do pay a premium for that. If it were true as Romney suggests that medical costs, because of competition can come down why are they still going up? There is plenty of competition out there now. There is Humana, Prohealth, Blue Cross, Aurora etc. Is it sounding like health insurance companies are making a few too many decisions? How about who determines those medical costs in the first place?

Then there was the almost depression at the end of the Bush era. That tells me he wasn’t doing such a good job. Obama is elected (the fall guy) and he is naive enough to think that the other side is going to work with him and fix everything. Obama is down to earth in his thinking, but believing that his coworkers were also working for the people was his down fall.. I feel bad for the under 55 group if the above goes through.. It is just one more thing that will sink the middle class to be a rich verses poor society.
