They are equipped with camera so operator can see on the monitor screen what they see (however it's not a clear picture) and with missiles, so when operator pushes some button the drone shoots and  -as AMERICANS use it against people-kills!
Our country uses drones now overseas, but since many of our congressman get richer when the manufacturer sells more drones our government plans to have 30 000 drones IN OUR SKIES  within next several years.

i'm against killling people - esp. without a trial. Our country used to be a LAW-ABIDING country - and now it is governed by people with killer-mentality who, with the help of technology, target people and kill them with a keyboard click.

Of course American taxpayers HAVE TO pay for that. Try not to pay taxes.

I started that thread because Kyle (1st video)  said that nearly 75% of americans don't know much about drones and that our government uses them to kill people. Mostly in Asia, but few were Americans, like 16 year old barbecquing boy.

They plan to have 30 000 drones for domestic use to keep us better in cotrol.

I believe they are buying them also to make someone richer.

If the drones are being used by the military that would be a Constitutional violation. But then again, this administration really doesn't care about The Constitution. A Pesidential edict is all that's needed.

What's 'funny"---all presidents swear to defend  CONSTITUTION when they are taking the office.
And then they just do not care about it-and Americans have no way to hold them accountable, except through our  "do nothing" Congress!

Seems though that they sent a letter  to Obama  protesting the drones (I'm just sure someone  gets richer from using drones!)
Ron Paul talks about it 6/18/12)

We, Americans, have killed ((so far) about 4700 people using drones, most of these people were totally innocent, ALL OF THEM WITHOUT TRIAL/SENTENCE.
Sadly, 53% of Americans consider it ok.

They couldn't capture that particular American traitor who was  living amongst evil thugs elsewhere who has plotted before and killed other's   ... and intelligence of several countries reported that  he was plotting more.   .   Either we are at WAR ON TERROR where everything is fair and you shoot first or you sit back til another 911 occurs.

People once complained about using PLANES that bombed in warfare instead of troops on the ground.    This is no different...it's DRONES or  TROOPS  and why sacrifice our kids when we don't have to.    Jihad wasn't invented by the USA.

Killing another of your own species is an act contrary to the ethos of that species for obvious reasons.  You could easily say with justification that act is contrary to an absolute ethic or natural law.  Rules for doing it institutionalize what is an ethical breach to begin with.  The necessity to kill inevitably happens in a world full of irrational and non-rational people.  Unethical or amoral people willing to do whatever is needed to satisfy their need to accomplish an agenda... religious, political, economic, xenophobic, genocidal....whatever.

Necessary or not, killing a fellow human is a breach of an absolute ethic. Psychopaths and sociopaths do not possess the equipment to internalize and perceive ethics and moral contraints.....a physical defect of sorts, a consequence of biology, an anomaly of nature.  Ethical reasons to abstain from indulging their need are meaningless...they may even consider you a fool out of touch with reality for suggesting such a thing.  The marginal ones convince themselves casualties are not really people like them, donchasee?  Not the same.....therefore not real.  The seeming logic behind a percieved necessity to eliminate "THE OTHER"  is persuasive.  From that comes the suspension of the ethical that is war.......... and all that goes with it.   Including rules on killing.

Charismatic figureheads of dubious character manipulate our own destiny.....and we permit it. Worse, we permit the bodies and minds of others to be broken on our behalf.  To shirk responsbility in that way is nothing short of tragic.  To demand that those we send to do our bidding should have better standards than we and punish them for what is actually our failure as well is.......much more than that....and I don't have a word for it.
