Apparently the Democratic party has removed God from their platform. They say they are inclusive. Were they speaking to the likes of the following. "David Silverman, president of American Atheists, said the exclusion of "God" in the Democrats' document was a step forward in including non-religious Americans in the official party stance." http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/09/04/god-also-absent-from-democrats-platform/ Considering their stances on a number of issues, are we surprised and considering the president from their party. Listen to Obama speaking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZMl-z_xZTY People fled to America for the freedom of religion not to abandon it. When Jefferson spoke about the separation of Church and State he was speaking to a Baptist group to assure them that religion would be protected from the government. Too many have misunderstood what Jefferson said and that these words are not in our constitution. I find it frigtening where the Democrats are going. Obama thru the HHS is already stepping on religious freedom. |

The democrat party has been seized by extreme leftists who do not believe in G-d. They are trying to foist all there views upon us and make us feel guilty for all the worlds problems. It's not how many American flags you bring to an event that shows you love your country. It's not if you wear an American Flag pin on you collar that ranks you as a true patriot. If that is all one has to do to be a patriot, that would be easy enough. I think it's when you shed your blood on the battle field, you sacrifice yourself for your fellow man, you take personal losses for the good of your country when it is down. It's not even how many times you mention God in a speech. Action speaks louder than words and when you start taking action to help the poor, the elderly, the infirmed and disabled you have mentioned God and Country in more than WORDS. God is mentioned many times by people trying to conceal their true hatreds. In Response to Re: Democrats - shame: The democrat party has been seized by extreme leftists who do not believe in G-d. In Response to Re: Democrats - shame: Jim: both links are the same and lead to Harry Reid but i don't think it is important in times of high unemployment, foreclosures, high debt, soon-to-come economic collapse... it is like bone thrown to make Dem. and Reps fight for it so they will not notice that they house is being robbed. It appears to me that the Right Wing Republicans hide behind the Christian Shield when its to their advantage, but then turn their backs on our struggling seniors, disabled and poor children. Ryan's Republican Budget for 2013 is a slap in the face to 98% of Americans. Ryan is calling for even more Tax Cuts for the wealthy than President Bush did. We have a deficit, so Ryan and Romney want to add to it right off the bat by giving those who dont need it, more tax breaks on the backs of those struggling seniors, disabled and poor children. Apparently we can afford to give more to the rich, but have to cut back on everyone else. Ryan and Romney will cut $200 billion dollars from Medicare and then they have the nerve to lie and accuse Obama of taking $716 billion from Medicare. Devout Catholic Paul Ryan is falsely attacking Obama for something Ryan is the one doing. ( Obama's plan saves $716 billion and Ryan's cuts $200 billion ). Jim, where does your God stand on this ? What would Jesus do ? Give more riches to the wealthy or help those struggling seniors, disabled and disabled poor children. The Right Wing Republicans want to force Rape Victims to have the child, but the same Republicans turn their back on those same children when in need. So If the Republicans are going to stand behind GOD, stand behind his children too and stop Romney and Ryan from cutting $200 billion from progarms our seniors, disabled and disabled poor children need. The Right Wing Republicans are so against abortion, but when those children are born with struggles and need, to no fault of their own, the Republicans want to Cut Funding in programs to help those same little ones. So today's Republican Priority is simple , More Tax Breaks for the wealthy on the backs of even our helpless little ones. Go to the " Nuns on the bus tour " web site to hear religious expert views on Romney and Ryan's plans to throw 98% of us under the bus. I'm sorry Jim, but the Jesus I know wouldn't be all on board the Romney/ Ryan Bus Tour.Response to Re: Democrats - shame: In Response to Re: Democrats - shame : That was my mistake, however your other comment is your mistake. There's nothing wrong with helping the poor or disabled. Unfortunately, a lot of those receiving government assistance are just taking advantage of the system. The government makes it easy to do. In NY, we have people that have been on the government dole for multiple generations. The government (state or federal) provide food stamps, section 8 housing, medicaid to them. No need to look for a job especially since obama just used an executive decree to abolish Workfare. I don't know about you, but I led a responsible life, instilled that in my children, made due with what was available. I resent having to support irresponsible people. You only see the bad in people, especially Democrats and Obama. Thats not good for your health or the Nations. So because of the few irresposible ones, you turn your back on the truly disabled seniors, children and struggling elderly. You dont see the many good things President Obama has done, you dig for dirt from the most partisan and seediest sources. Keeping track of Romney's false attack ads makes your head spin. If Obama falsely attacks Romney, I will call him out on it. Believe me Truth still matters to me. Romney cant run on his record, he can only attack, attack and attack. Most of his attacks have been proven false by numerous non partisan sources. Good luck, LabratResponse to Re: Democrats - shame: There's nothing wrong with helping the poor or disabled.
