In Response to Consumer Advocate Ralph Nader Says End Corporate Welfare To Fix the Deficit: [QUOTE] I have to agree with Nader that this corporate welfare has damaged the nation. It's been happening so quietly that few people really know how much has been off-shored in foreign banks by the wealthiest in the world. Some say it's at least 21 trillion $$$, if not more. I've read that 60% of the deficit is due to wars, foreign involvement and aid. It's no wonder why our country has been declining over the last 3 decades. The rapid outsourcing of jobs has sucked money from the treasury for years as less people are working at good jobs. The "trickle-down" theory tax cuts for the wealthy hasn't worked. Yet, Romney proposed another 5 trillion $$$ in tax cuts and additional spending of 2 trillion $$$ for the military. |
