In Response to Conservatives and Islamist, two peas in a pod: I often wonder why the hate runs so deep between conservatives here in the U.S. and Islamist extremist in the East when they both have so much in common. Both consider women second class citizens and think rape is no big deal and think men can make better decisions for a woman’s well-being than the woman herself. Both want their religion brought into the Government and will suppress any other form of religion that they deem threatening. Although one of the corner stones of our democracy is separation of church and state and freedom of religion. One misinterprets passages in the Bible to justify his bigotry and hatred the other misuses passages in the Koran. Both always use God and Country to justify their misdeeds. Both have an animosity for others different from themselves, either religious, cultural, racial, or gender. Both see women, children, poor, disabled, sick, and troubled as weak and should be suppressed. Cowards always prey on the weak. Both embrace a gun culture that kills more of themselves than their enemy. Instead of Conservatives bringing democracy to the Islamic extremist, Islamic extremist are bringing their beliefs to the Republican Party. Posted by creppelrm I do know a couple republicans who are not part of the American version of the Taliban but they are of the Eisenhower generation who worshiped God but had common sense when it came to religion and separation of church and state in particular. But the modern day Conservatives use "social issues" and religion as a way to mask economic objectives, which is to establish an aristocracy, which is a social and psychological condition of inequality. I do not understand how some muslims can treat women the way they do when they had mother's who are responsible for their life on this planet. But it's up to muslim women in free-countries to stand up to the injustice and do it for their sister's who cannot. |

Yes Jan Conservative lawmakers don't give a hoot about God, women's rights or whatever the rest the plain Conservative citizen think they do. It's about money and reelection. Paul Ryan is a number cruncher, he could care less about any social issue as long as it doesn't interfere with his and the rest of the Republican agenda. Mitt Romney hasn't a clue of the plights of the ordinary American citizen. He has never experienced anything ordinary. Besides if elected he will only be a bill signer, a puppet. Everyone of the Republican lawmakers are in line wit h the rest. If not there are no funds for their reelection. That is why Grover Norqist is such a powerful individual. If any of his flock wonders astray of his agenda they risk funds being cut off and not being reelected. Romney has no agenda that isn't in place already and has been for years. I don't know where you get your facts from. I find Conservatives to be a lot more tolerant than liberals. Besides, Conservatives don't go around blowing up buildings, school buses, kindergartens and then congratulating themselves, screaming allah akbar and handing out candy because they killed the infidel as proscribed by the koran. It's just what you are saying makes you similar to them. George W. recruited more terrorist than Bin Laden when he started two worthless wars, water boarded prisoners and allowed the shameless acts that went on in Abu Gharib instead of going after the real criminals behind 9/11.. And in return they commit shameless acts. You can't understand why because Bush is gone but those people don't forget easily. It's the hate on both sides that keep this fire burning. Something you will never understand until both sides are consumed by it. Anytime anything happens in that area of the World we go swinging at anything blindly and that was started by Bush. There is no winner in what is now happening only losers on both sides. We can destroy ourselves and it's the arrogant conservative way of thinking that is going to do it. Yes I know, if only we accept them and be tolerant of their ways, accept sharia as the law of the land in place of The Consitution, then we could all gather around the campfire and sing kumbaya. How's that working out in Europe???? They won't stop until they have victory over "the infidel". And as long as they have dumb Republicans in control spending trillions fighting ghost they will keep on expanding their Jihad with the little resources they use. Obama has done more with less but Mitt thinks he can outspend the Terrorist. Like he is trying to do winning the Presidency. Talking is not winning nothing. n Response to Re: Conservatives and Islamist, two peas in a pod: Yes I know, if only we accept them and be tolerant of their ways, accept sharia as the law of the land in place of The Consitution, then we could all gather around the campfire and sing kumbaya. They'll continue their jihad even if obama says pretty please. Look at what's happening in Europe. 'Any woman that's not wearing a hajib is subject to rape by muslim gangs.
