The flavor of the past few days seems to be Gingrich. If we look past the FAMILY VALUES adultry issue there is another most recent that has come into focus. In recent months, GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has strongly criticized Freddie Mac and sister company Fannie Mae, as well as Democrats in Congress that he claims played a key role in the collapse of the housing market. And yet two former Freddie Mac officials recently told Bloomberg that Gingrich made between $1.6 million and $1.8 million in consulting fees from the mortgage company. That amount is significantly larger than the $300,000 payment that Gingrich was asked about during a Republican presidential debate on Nov. 9. The Freddie Mac officials also told Bloomberg that Gingrich was asked to build bridges with Capitol Hill Republicans and help sell the mortgage company's public-private structure to conservatives. |

Hi Jan, I really agree with you except for this sentence: "There isn't one GOP candidate worthy of the title of being our President" i think RON PAUL is more worthy to be our president than anyone! however he can't be bought (unlike most politicians) so when he ran in 2008 the media blacked him out (well, I had no idea he was running!) or labeled him as crazy (which they can't do now because all his predictions came true!). Did you listen to him talking about his economic plan to get us out of this mess? Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1ayIleOnio let's do not choose our leader as if it were an "American Idol". vote in the primary before in November you will have to choose "lesser of two evils". do not settle for evil at all! |

Why stop there congressman, why not just go all the way back to the barter system like Europe during the dark ages? Ron Paul wants to eliminate the IRS and the income tax. Sounds great right? Well, so does free ice cream and new cars for everyone, but that doesn’t mean they’re realistic ideas. Please don’t shoot yourselves in the foot, don’t vote for a man who only wants to help the rich. He just wants to greaten the divide between the poor and the rich, which is already overwhelming . By the way, he also wants to eliminate the departments of education, energy, homeland security, and emergency management. Posted by JANMB hmmm...Where have you taken that info from? I do not think it is true! (unfortunately as the establishment doesn't want him to win they use media (they own) to spread lies about dr Paul Well, he is not a friend of women like Gingrich or Cain--he married his HS sweetheart 50+ years ago, one wife, 5 kids, boring... As OB_GYN he delivered 4000+ kids his patients-woman-love him! What do you mean he is no friend to women? no affairs or sexual harassment charges? Separation of state and religion? Of course he is for it!He is constitutionalist for ALL freedoms after all! yes, he is for people to keep ALL the money they earn, not giving it to government so it could waste it. Income tax is about one third of government income - sales tax, trade tariffs are among others---of course it is realistic not to pay income taxes! Congress introduced it TEMPORARILY in 1913 to pay for war, 1%, and it stayed and grew he declares he will not take salary above American average! (now 39K) how much Obama gets paid? it is NOT TRUE that he is against security in old age (being the oldest candidate he understands old people better than others do)--everyone who entered Soc. Sec. contract WILL HAVE IT PAID AS PROMISED. No cuts in Social Security! He said people over 25 will have to be on SS, under 25 may, or may not, opt for smth else. Because he makes great cuts in American militarism (NOT DEFENSE) there's a chance that SS will be paid to our kids at all! (SS IS NOT a welfare program as you said-people paid for it and deserve it! yes, he is for small government and cuts spending also by closing 5 departments--however it will be gradual, NOBODY will be laid off, when people retire nobody new will be hired there. Important things those departments did would be trnsferred to others Wall Street and banks went down because of government not-interference? Good! let them fall! I will be PROUD to vote in primary for RON PAUL. He is a wonderful candidate! |

In Response to Re: CANDIDATES: In Response to Re: CANDIDATES : hmmm... I do not think it is true! (unfortunately as the establishment doesn't want him to win they use media (they own) to spread lies about dr Paul Posted by Astra2012 Planned parenthood prevents more abortions yet republicans with no uterus in congress are opposed to preventing more unwanted pregnancies. . Not only are they inherintly stupid about pregnancies and risks, they need to stay out of women's issues. Romney for example, rushed to Boston Hosp to intimidate a woman w/complications to reject abortion but she chose her life. Said "he was blind to me as a human being" That's why MEN need to butt out. ON CNN -- Gov. Dannel P. Malloy called U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas an idiot on CNN today for suggesting that the Federal Emergency Management Agency be denied funding and that Americans rely on private insurance to cope with natural disasters. RON PAUL named his son after after Ayn RAND because her books provided wide-ranging parables of "parasites," "looters" and "moochers" using the levers of government to steal the fruits of her heroes' labor. In the real world, however, Rand herself received Social Security payments and Medicare benefits under the name of Ann O'Connor (her husband was Frank O'Connor).. HYPOCRITES ALL OF THEM !!! PAUL is the ONLY candidate who wants to END the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that exercises authority over our safety and security...... 83 percent of all U.S. stocks are in the hands of 1 percent of the people says Business Insider. But the republican candidates INCLUDING PAUL want to eliminate all captial gains taxes..... WHOOPPEEE for the rich. 1% PAUL is a complete idiot ..economists attest to that one ... just goggle his appearances on programs and see VIDEO's on U-Tube of him talking and you'll find out EVERYTHING I said is TRUE. |

RON PAUL's idea of the CHOICE of being on SOC SECURITY or not for the "under 25 may, or may not, opt for smth else." ---is one that points to ELIMINATING IT and that has been the goal of republicans from DAY ONE. cause they never wanted it. We already had PRIVATE plans before Soc Security was established and that FAILED .... that's why we have GOV'T' SOC Security today. The truth is that, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Social Security is fully funded until 2052, at which point, assuming no increase in productivity growth rates or dramatic demographic shifts, benefits would need to be reduced by a whopping… 20% Politicians should be focusing like a laser beam on overhauling the medical system, not wasting time fixing a Social Security system that isnt close to being broken. Of course doing so would involve taking on massively powerful interest groups, ranging from Big Pharma to the AMA . The question is, do they have the guts to do so? NOT REPUBLICANS. |
