In Response to Re: Afghanistan: Im trying to understand more about the Afganistan culture, and have recently heard about a book by a young man, whose family is from there, and his Father was a close friend of Karzi (spelling). It's called Comeback to Afganistan. This young man was educated here, I think at Yale, and is desperate to help his country escape the Taliban Regime. Can't wait to read it, also, Ale Soufon's, The Black Banner's, Afganistan backround worked for the FBI in 2005, and never received the info requested from the CIA that could have prevented 9/11. Just wondering if anyone has read these yet? Plyn0212 Posted by patlynch65 The Kite Runner is a novel by Khaled Hosseini. Published in 2003 is the only book I have read about Afghanistan and it was made into a movie. Hosseini wrote another novel but I haven't read it yet. |
