Did finances play a part in your decision?

I'm interested in making a "full body donation."  I don't care how or where my cadaver is used, and I don't need any parts or  ashes returned.

Where I live (Florida) such donations to a medical school must first go to a funeral home and from there to the recipient medical school. Those costs must be paid by the donor. In some cases, the State of Florida may pay up to $600.00 to help defray those costs.

However, I don't want to have to (or my estate have to) pay anything for this donation. I also am not interested in buying term life insurance to cover these costs after I die.

I know of  a company based in Statan Island that picks up and delivers cadavers all over the country. I understand that, besides medical schools, there are  various research companies which require cadavers. I'd appreciate any information on this subject with the emphasis on no cost to me.
