I am a retired elem teacher. I have a chronic illness that keeps me home most of the time and I enjoy chatting with people of all ages via email. I am not interested in "finding a man", just having friends to talk with. I get quite lonely, so I love to have penpals. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara CA until I was 20. Then I went to Corvallis Oregon, for college at Oregon State University. I married a guy from Grants Pass Or and I'm still here ! We divorced in 1974. I have 2 grown children and 4 precious grand children (ages 5 and under) who live 23 miles south of me. I love to flower garden and sew and I love pets. I have 2 shihtzu doggies and 2 cats. I don't travel or do sports because of my illness. I love children, I teach Sunday school and am a full on Jesus LOver. I love politics. My main loves in life are children, Jesus, flowers and sewing. But I am curious about almost everything :) If I was well, I would travel the USA and see all the states. We used to camp and fish a lot when I was a kid. I am just dropping by to say hello. I have been on AARP for years but don't understand the new change on these boards..so I don't come here very often anymore. It use to be so easy to use and I had so many friends in the Camping Group message boards. I currently live in Dallas Texas for the past approx.11 years. I have 6 grandkids here, attend Lakepointe church and have been divorced for 25 years. I have been out of work since September and looking for work. I have been sleeping on my daughters couch till I know where to move for the job. If I don't find a job I have thought about buying an older used RV and renting a lot at a campground. I am not sure yet. I am praying about what God would have me to do. I hate to move away from grandkids but I may have to in order to survive on Social Security if I have to file for it early. We Babyboomers are facing many challenges as we age.I have a West Highland Terrier dog named Henry. He currently is having issues with his feet. This breed has skin problems that are terrible to deal with. Poor little guy. Well enough about me. I am here if you want to exchange emails. God Bless you.
