I do not believe in Heaven or Hell. I believe when you die your memories live on thru friends and family. I also do not participate in organized religion. My higher power lives within me, I believe in being truthful, respectful and treating other the way I want to be treated. |

Jesus said Heaven is within you the Holy Ghost (spirit of God) It is your state of being joy, peace, and love and the bible tells us Hell is for 'the devil' and 'his' angels meaning in the Greek and Hebrew language devil meaning-thoughts and will, his-meaning unfruitful for God, and angels-mean messengers that brought the word of God the Levites and the lineage that crusified Jesus Christ. |

What nonsense for people to believe that they get to live after they die. When we die, that is it. Sorry folks. The "afterlife" is just found in myths that humans wrote because they fear death and hope to get another chance. I am an Atheist and I live my life in a way to get the most enjoyment and to do the most good to others right here and now. It is sad to see gullible people ignorantly believing the fairytales their families or others brainwashed them into believing and wasting time trying to please an Imaginary Boss in the sky. Grow up! Imaginary friends are for preschool kids. |

I really enjoy reading the thoughts and posts by "Das9". I can only wish that I could express myself as eloquently. I have studied our English version of the Bible, and find that it has much to be desired in comparison to the translation of other languages. But, the Bible does give us the "way" to live our lives in peace and harmony. There are so many metiphors to wrap ourselves around and give us the hope that this is not the end of our existence, but that the death of this life is the beginning of another. I have no idea what to expect of "heaven" other than the merging of the spirit with all who have come and gone before us. I do not believe in a condemning, fire toting "hell". I believe that organized religions are the breeding places of complacency. I have studied many religions and found fault with all of them, as I think it should be. To place oneself in the sole belief of one religion is for many the only way to survive. The pitting of one religion over and above another is just a form of zealotry that creates a business which hides the truth of true spritualism. Yes I believe there is a heaven, but it's not a place high in the sky. |

If you can't be grateful enough to find a little of heaven while on earth, you probably wouldn't recognize heaven if you made it there. Don't wait until you die to find heaven. You can't enjoy the sunshine without understanding the need for rain. |
