In Response to Re: Does Heaven Exist?: In Response to Does Heaven Exist? : Amen...the Bible gives us a full description on Heaven, as well as hell. I pray that the veil be removed for those who don't believe God's Word! God bless you! Posted by livingwaters57 Actually, the Bible says almost nothing about either place. The Torah doesn't speak of an afterlife at all, and the NT only talks about a place of darkness, fire (?) and tooth-gnashing. Besides, there is a lot in the Bible which no modern person would assent to--plural marriage, slavery, genocide. The question is whether the concept of hell is feasible. If I am in heaven--supremely happy--how can I be if anyone is suffering in hell? I cannot ever be eternally happy until and unless all souls are. |

In Response to Re: Does Heaven Exist?: If you read your Bible ,you would not have any doubt if Heaven existed. You would know for sure. Posted by susanbayne2010 I read from the Bible everyday. It contains thousands of things which are not true. I cannot believe that hell is possible--for no decent human being could enjoy the pleasures of heaven if anyone is in hell. |

What a great discussion! And, a question that I know a lot of us have pondered. Personally, I believe with all my heart there's a heaven and a Heavenly Father waiting for me when I die. And, I thought the material mentioned in these articles here and here gave some good support for this. So, if anyone's interested, you might want to pull these up if you have the chance. And, just FYI, I work at Focus on the Family and they have chaplains there that could really give some insight into this topic if it would ever be helpful (1-855-771-HELP). Blessings everyone! |
