In Response to Crochet - NOT a Dying ART: I love to crochet - and due to down sizing in yarn at Walmart and several hobby /craft stores it's hard to get yarn let alone meet other crocheters in your area. I met some awsome women and we meet in Dallas twice a month & I drive to Dallas (130 miles one way) to enjoy the group and crocheting together. I also wanted to see if there were any crocheters where I live so I started my own crochet social club here in Longview, Texas in August. It's great fun - if there is anyone out there that would like to talk; need help; start a local group aor any thing crochet let me know here on the message board. for the 3 groups I belong to we help each other out and just in general enjoy crocheting together - this is NOT a dying art and is enjoyed by male & female; young and old ; beginner to expert. Cookie in Longview,TX. Posted by cookiecrochets ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello, This reply is from a fellow crocheter, and I live just down the road, in Houston, TX. I would like to stay in contact with people of like interests and I hope to find a few people here that would like to start a small group concerning our love for this art. No, Crochet is NOT a dying art, I crochet something everyday and I look forward to sharing my experience with others. Anyone in Houston, want to start a crochet group, let me know; and I always need help with (written instructions). Patricia
